This is a parade quality and rare (desert sand) 1985 M923 6x6 Military vehicle, it is also known as a 5 ton. Not to be confused with a deuce and a half, this truck is much larger. I have owned this beautiful truck for 3 years, have shown it at many shows and have driven the truck in many parades. The truck has won awards at a couple of truck shows, including Best of Top ten and Members Only Award at a large military show. That says a lot about the truck, especially when competing against much smaller vehicles that are far simpler to restore and maintain. If there is a nicer M923 I've never seen it, and I've seen a bunch! Everyone I've ever met at truck show is blown away by this truck. The wheels and tires were installed about 2 years ago and they were brand new, the wheels had never been mounted on any other vehicle. I installed new batteries this year, I also installed a 12 volt distribution panel and a kill switch for the system as well as a 12 volt outlet to charge my phone or plug in my Garmin GPS. This truck because of its condition would make a perfect marketing tool for a variety of businesses or a great vehicle for either a hunting lodge or perhaps a wild game preserve. The troop seating in back can accommodate 20 plus passengers with ease and you'd be hard pressed to get this truck stuck anywhere. You also don't have to worry about your clients viewing or riding in a ratty old truck. This truck looks like it did in 1985. Some of the particulars are, 5 speed automatic transmission with high and low range, full air brake system with glad hands (you can connect a hose and fill a tire if you need to), no CDL required to drive truck, power steering, all of the tactical lights work, troop seating in back, drop down bed sides, hard top, storage compartments on passenger side, I drive it to home depot or the grocery store often and they come in handy. I could go on and on about the truck, if you are seriously interested call me, I will tell you anything you want to know about it. One of the coolest things about the truck is how much people like it, it makes them smile especially kids. Everyone wants their picture taken with it, and it makes lifted truck look tiny, max speed on highway is 63-65 mph, the sweet spot is 55 mph but I can't drive 55 on an open highway.
