About the Car2001 Acura Integra Type R with 5-speed manual. VIN number JH4DC23191S000026. Official U.S. made version in Phoenix Yellow, left-hand drive, with quad round headlights. Final model year for the American Integra and the last ever Type R vehicle sold in the USA. Chassis number 0064 of 650 in yellow made that year. Less than 4000 of these were ever made for the U.S. market. It has a naturally aspirated, factory handbuilt, 1.8L naturally aspirated engine with an 8400 RPM redline and weighs only 2600 pounds (lighter than standard models) despite having over 40 different engine parts and extra bracing/stiffening all around. Brakes are also bigger and the ABS system is 12 pounds lighter than regular Integras. Yet the Type R still has a factory six-speaker CD stereo system, power doors/locks/windows, and air conditioning. It is a very livable all-out performance car with Honda reliability that can be driven every day. This is a numbers matching car and is nearly all stock (please see additional info). The interior is fully stock including seats, steering wheel, floor mats, stereo, and titanium shift knob (cigarette lighter adapter is also included but not pictured). There are no mechanical, brake, or electrical issues. The car starts immediately upon first turn of the key and it drives, shifts, steers, and runs perfectly including during the VTEC switchover at 5700 RPM. All electricals and HVAC equipment work perfectly including heat and cold AC, wipers and defrosters, power mirrors, headlights and highbeams, and power windows and door locks. The Falken tires are also new with less than 1000 miles on them and the timing belt was replaced 4 years ago as part of preventive maintenance due to age (not mileage). Owner HistoryI purchased the Integra as a second vehicle so it was not used as a daily driver and was always covered and garaged when not driven. I am the 2nd owner and the ONLY driver for more than 10 years of almost entirely highway mileage (very rarely stop and go). I purchased it with 58,000 miles on it and the car currently has approximately 86,450. It has a clean history with no accidents along with a clean and clear title. Never driven in rain or snow and the car was stored during winters with the battery on a trickle charger (the battery has been dealer replaced twice over the years). The car has not been used for racing of any kind and has always been serviced at the same North Haven, CT Acura dealer where it was purchased and serviced for 15 years (via both the original owner and myself). I have the car’s full 15-year printed service history from that dealer. The most recent service was days ago (10/22/15) for an oil change and full inspection which it easily passed. I also have the car’s original manual and documents inside it’s glovebox wallet with radio code card. Additional InfoInitially, I was reluctant to buy a Type R with any mods until I confirmed the original owner had installed Spoon lowering springs, Bilstein shocks, a Comptech Sport intake box (which looks stock), and a DC Sports Exhaust header. I only made the decision to buy it after a test drive confirmed the lowered (but not slammed) suspension hadn’t compromised the ride quality. I found the lower ride height, while tricky in driveways (just go at an angle), does improve the handling, performance, stability and mileage without affecting reliability. Stance looks better too. Still not a plush ride being essentially a factory street-legal race car but much more compliant than I expected even to this day. The car still has the original 5-lug factory alloy wheels with 55mm rubber which no doubt helps the ride quality. The paint is 90% original but not flawless due to age. Swirl marks are visible upon very close inspection otherwise the paint is largely spotless except for some small chips on the the wraparound part of the rear bumper on the passenger side (will include small bottle of color-matched touch up paint). I also had the front bumper re-sprayed last year due to the paint cracking from age on the factory plastic. The two pneumatic struts that hold up the rear hatch are untouched but no longer hold enough air to keep the hatch raised. The front clear turn signal lenses are also original but there is a scratch on the driver’s side lens. Despite lots of security measures there have been theft attempts but, thankfully, none were successful (vehicle never moved an inch unless I was driving it) and no parts were ever removed in any attempts. As such, due to damage after one such attempt, the steering wheel and column were once dealer replaced (with new factory parts direct from japan that took a month to arrive. eBay AutoCheck incorrectly shows this as an accident; even says non-collision in event details. I have been unable to get them to correct this at the moment). There is also a half inch tear in the leather shift boot. I will include an uninstalled replacement one but it lacks the Type R red stitching. The SaleI am selling the car because I now drive it much less than the already fewer than 3000 miles I averaged per year (have put less than a 1000 miles on it the past two years combined). Up for auction is a ONE owner 1998 Acura Integra with a one of kind awesome stereo system! This Acura has very low 42k original miles. It has a customized stereo system that fills the entire rear seating and trunk area. Behind the front seats there are six 12 inch Eclipse Aluminum speakers along with two 8 inch MB Quart speakers and two MB Quart tweeters. Seven Rockford Fosgate amplifiers in the trunk. (one of the amplifiers is hidden inside the box). Symmetry 28 band equalizer with DSP card and microphone. 5.1 Surround. The mids/highs are MB Quart speakers on the driver side door panel, passenger door panel, center of the dash board, driver side kick panel and passenger side kick panel. MB Quart tweeters on both door panels. Alpine CD head unit that has DVD player with flip out screen. Alternater had been up graded to accommodate the system with three batteries (two in the trunk and one under the hood). Purple light bars behind the front seats to show off the speakers at night time and the rear tail lights has switch that does strobe lighting. Check out all the pictures, this custom stereo system was professionally installed and works great with no problems. VERY LOUD! Won many trophies at local car shows and contestants! This car has been meticulously maintained since day one, always been garaged and never been driven in the rain. However for a 17 year old car there is a few small dings on the body (see pictures). The leather interior is in perfect shape with power sunroof, power windows, power locks. Plenty of thread on tires that are wrapped around 18 inch rims. One of the rims does have a small scuff mark (see picture). Under the hood there is a K&N air filter set up. Everything works, including the air condition. The following goes with the car to the highest bidder: A car cover, owner manual, original owner's maintenance schedule (which has all been written down and properly done since day one to it's current mileage) and a complete set of aerogear body ground effects that I never got a chance to install and still in it's original boxes never opened. Female owned and drivenI bought it for my fiance towards the end of last year. Before I let her drive it we did some maintenance. The head gasket has been replace the right way, the head was machined and made sure everything was flat for a good seal. While everything was apart all of the engine and transmission mounts were replaced along with the water pump and timing belt so there's no worries. It was put back together with new fluids in everything. I gave my mechanic a disposable camera so I have pictures of everything. The car had a very clean interior swapped in. Also we just replaced all 4 tires with New Bridgestones and will include 2 extra tires that are basically brand new.
