AND ON THAT SCALE, THIS IS THE BEST 2001 V70 XC YOU’LL EVER FIND. I WILL GO INTO DETAIL IN THIS LISTING ABOUT THIS CAR’S INCREDIBLE CONDITION AND SERVICE HISTORY, BUT SUFFICE TO SAY YOU WON’T FIND ANOTHER ONE LIKE IT. IT’S A GREAT TWO-OWNER CAR, WITH AN EVEN BETTER HISTORY, THAT RUNS AND LOOKS LIKE A NEARLY NEW CAR AND WON’T LET YOU DOWN. THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS (OVER $12,000!!!) IN REPAIRS AND MAINTENANCE, MUCH OF IT RECENT, AND INCREDIBLE OPTIONS AND UPGRADES. I MEAN IT; THE FIRST PERSON THAT CHECKS OUT THIS V70 XC AWD WILL BUY IT, AND I SAY THAT AS SOMEONE THAT BUYS 50+CARS PER YEAR, ALL HIGH END. I BOUGHT THIS FOR MY WIFE TO DRIVE, AND HAD MY MECHANIC GO THROUGH IT WITH AN OPEN CHECKBOOK AND FIX EVERYTHING HE FOUND WITH NO REGARD TO COST. Its service history is INCREDIBLE with lots of recent work that YOU won’t have to do. That, and its cosmetics, are the primary reasons to buy this particular car. This V70 XC AWD has been serviced extensively at authorized Volvo dealers from new into 2015!! EVERYTHING this car ever needed was done with an open checkbook by the dealer and by my shop, and I have the service records to prove it; over $12,000 in repairs and maintenance since new, much of it recently. No skimping ever. Everything works, and it has gone through multiple pre-purchase inspections. No stories, so please read on to find out more. -- Here she is in all her glory -- Please let me stop you now if you are looking for an inexpensive, needy, or average V70 XC AWD like most of them for sale. This is not that car. I am hired by clients to buy high-end European cars, and I can tell you there is ONE thing I look for: a car with a no-expense spared, documented service and maintenance history. This is that car. I then take it for two additional inspections, and whatever it needs, it gets. Now YOU don’t have to pay to replace anything, it’s all been done for you. Please understand, with these cars, you get what you pay for. This car is basically free when you consider how much work has been done recently. I paid top-dollar to get this car because it was nicer than ALL other V70’s I looked at for cosmetics and mechanicals, and then I made it even better. Here's the deal: -- This is a 2001 Volvo V70 XC AWD in jet black over beige leather interior, with matching carpets and headliner. It looks incredible for the mileage, with no real rust, oxidation, or wear anywhere. This car was LOVED and it shows. There is hardly a ding or scratch anywhere. -- -- Exterior 9 out of 10 – Very nice condition ALL ORIGINAL paint, body, glass, and trim. No dings, dents, or scuffs. This V70 XC looks great, with a deep shine to the black paint. This car looks great even under fluorescent light in a garage. Imagine getting a 15 year old black car with no swirl marks or spiderwebs in the paint….amazing! -- -- The lower side-body moldings are in great shape. The chrome, rubber, glass, and trim is all very nice. No oxidation, fade, wear, etc. as you might expect of a 15 year old car. Look at the body panels.....they are nice and straight. Clean carfax and Autocheck with no stories, and no accidents, bodywork, or paintwork EVER. -- -- This V70 XC’s options based on its original MSRP of $40,100 include cold weather package (heated seats), power sunroof, touring package (power passenger seat, trip computer, CD player, auto dimming mirror, homelink), integrated booster seats, and introduction package (leather seats, steering wheel, and gear shift, simulated wood on doors/glove box, cargo protection, grocery bag holder). And of course all the usual V70 XC gear like AWD, roof rack, power everything, memory seats, and much more. Wow! -- -- Now let's get to the BEST PART: service history! That's what this car is all about. In the last 6K miles, this V70 XC has had a new battery, new electronic throttle module with software programming by the Volvo dealer, PCV valve, purge valve, alignment, alternator, A/C compressor, rear CV joint, rear brake pads and rotors, emergency brake, rear wheel bearings, RH headlight, turn signal bulbs, gas cap, wiper blades, oil change, fluid flushes. That’s roughly $4500 in parts and labor right there. -- -- Then we have its prior service history, which includes $65 oil change at 183K miles, $830 ETM at 176K miles, $3424 in front hubs/flame trap/full intermediate service/spark plugs/filters/coolant flush at 175K miles, $65 oil change at 167K miles, $1038 for both front CV joints and trans flush at 161K miles, $65 oil change at 159K miles, $1128 for axles, rear brake pads, rear sway bar links at 148K miles, $1138 for brake booster at 144K miles, and on and on and on. That’s $7753 (SEVEN THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED FIFTY THREE DOLLARS!!!) in the last 48K miles IN ADDITION TO THE $4500 I SPENT WHEN I BOUGHT IT FOR MY WIFE!!! So let’s do the math: for the $4900 BIN price, you get this V70 XC AWD with over TWELVE THOUSAND DOLLARS IN MAINTENANCE AND REPAIRS IN THE LAST 48K MILES, PLUS OVER $1500 IN UPGRADES AND MODIFICATIONS IN THE LAST FIVE THOUSAND MILES!!! It’s unreal, you’ll never see another V70 XC like this one. -- It currently wears its factory 16” OEM alloys. All are true and in nice overall condition with only minor marks. The tires are all-seasons with about 45% tread remaining. But at the BIN price I will ALSO include a brand new set of Pirelli Winter Carving Edge 205/60/16 mounted and balanced. This V70 XC goes arrow-straight down the road at high speed with no shimmy, pull, or anything else. -- -- Interior 9 out of 10 - The interior overall including seating and door leather, seat padding, dash, console, wood, and carpets are in very nice condition. No dash cracks, carpet rips, very little wear of any kind in the interior (sunroof upholstered panel is worn out). Everything looks and feels great. This is not the typical worn V70 - this car looks like a low-mileage car and it shows. These pictures are without even any type of detailing, just a wash and a vacuum. There is no dullness or fade to anything…it’s really nice. All faux-wood trim is bright and glossy without and cracks or fading. -- -- The door panels and trim are also in great shape, like the rest of the car. -- -- Even the hatch and spare are mint, spare and tools in place. -- -- Electrical 10 out of 10 - All lights, switches, radio, windows, wipers, seat motors/memory/pulse, and power mirrors work perfectly. Power lock system, remote key fob, interior lights, etc all operating as they should. NO instrument cluster warnings, NO problems at all. -- -- The suspension system is operating properly with no clunks or thunks. The service history is truly incredible at over $12K in RECENT work, probably topping $20K since new. And all documented at the Volvo dealer. The HVAC system is fast to respond, and operates perfectly with scalding hot heat and ice-cold A/C. Seat heaters are working properly. -- -- Cool modifications and upgrades included at the BIN price are: Class II trailer hitch installed 5K miles ago by me, never used to pull a trailer, only for a bike rack. Hella 500 driving lights on a custom bracket wired to turn on with the high beams. Satellite radio installed and working via RF modulator into radio. Ceiling mounted DVD player with large LCD display and remote and two sets of wireless headphones. -- -- Mechanical 10 out of 10 - Engine starts, idles, runs, and revs to redline in every gear smooth and strong. You can NOT tell when this car is running at idle! Transmission is VERY smooth with ZERO issues of any kind. Downshifts eagerly and upshifts seamlessly. No abrupt engagement, just silky smooth shifts. This V70 XC runs at high speed with no vibrations or noises. -- -- This V70 XC has passed its mechanical inspection with flying colors. And I drive it nearly every day, so I know it well and it’s a sweet ride. She’s ready to roll for her next owner. -- -- Engine is strong and eager to run, transmission smooth. Brakes are solid and pedal feel is firm. Suspension is tight like new, no worn tie rod ends, ball joints, struts, or anything else. Steering nicely weighted with no play in the box. No weird noises. This car drives and handles great. This V70 comes with all books, tools, working remote key, spare key, carfax, and complete service history with all service visits since newIt’s pages and pages of four-point type….amazing! No expense spared maintenance and repairs. -- -- This V70 XC does not have any signs of wear, no rubber rot, no problems, no lukewarm A/C....NOTHING. Everything is in great shape -- -- At the BIN price, I will provide the following: The mounted new set of Pirelli winter tires mentioned above, plus a spare set of all-season tires with about 45% tread remaining. The hitch, DVD player, Hella lights, sat radio module listed above. A full $200 detailing including engine bay, carpet shampoo, leather conditioning, orbital polishing, etc. I'll also supply Toughguard protectant for the paint, which you have to see to believe. It will bead water, seal, and UV protect the paint for FIVE YEARS, GUARANTEED....no future waxings necessary. I know it sounds like a B.S. late-night TV claim, but it's not; dealers charge $695 and up for this stuff, and it really works. I will also include two sets of floor mats, and Volvo OEM touch-up paint. That’s close to $2200 in value all included at the BIN price! -- -- Nits: A few minor touched-up rock chips and thin scratches, some minor marks to the wheels, sunroof motor works but plastic bellows are noisy so to be safe I do not use the sunroof but it might work fine. Sunroof slider upholstery is worn out. THAT’S IT! NOTHING ELSE!
