2005 Saab 92x 25.i Linear Just Like Subaru Impreza 2.5 AWD Located in Beautiful Canon City, Colorado What it Is: This is a 2005 Saab 92x Linear, with 153,600 miles on the odometer. It has the 5-speed. Underneath the Saab badging is a Subaru Impreza with the 2.5 liter Subaru engine that came standard on the car. It’s all-original and it runs great. More on the condition below……. What’s the Story? : This is my dad’s 2005 Saab 92x. He asked me to sell it for him on eBay, after he got his new (used) AWD sedan a few weeks ago. My father is 83 years young, so he has not driven this Saab all that much since he bought it in 2013. The car has been trouble free for that time, and comes in handy during the occasional snow storms and sloppy road conditions that can occur in central Colorado. My dad lives at about 6100 in elevation so an AWD vehicle is needed a few times during the year. The car’s AWD system is considered to be the best system out there, for every-day driving. Condition: This car can be considered a “second car” for my father. He used it on occasion, in sloppy road conditions. As such, he has not put that many miles on the car in the 2 years that he has owned it. The car is fully functional and everything works on the car as it should. The AWD system works great as does the clutch / transmission. The car does not use any oil between changes, not does it smoke. The tires are ok (see pics) and the car brakes wonderfully. The car is easy to drive with nice steering and tracks down the highway great. I recently took this car up to Salida, Colorado (from Canon City) as it was an absolute pleasure to drive. The AC worked great too. I would not hesitate to drive this car cross country. It’s that solid. Cosmetically, the car is in very good shape, but not perfect. The seats are not torn or ripped (nor even worn all that much). The headliner is in good shape, but could be cleaned. The rubber floormats could use a cleaning too. The original paint has some scratches and the body has a few very small dents. I have tried to capture the worst of these blemishes in the pictures. The car is perfectly presentable……..just not new or perfect. See pictures. Mechanically, the car has had a new timing belt installed (110k miles, I believe) and runs just great. Power is excellent for a 2.5 liter, AWD car. The engine compartment could use a good steam-cleaning, though. Again, no mechanical issues that I am aware of – and I just drove it about 150 miles. The tires are just fine and have many miles left on them. A new clutch was installed about 18 months ago. It shifts great.
