2001 Volvo V70 XC AWD We are pleased to present this incredibly nice V70 XC Cross Country AWD which is fitted with some fairly desirable options and a full service just completed. This XC70 has the Premium Package and Touring Package, along with the Climate Package. It's also finished in the great metallic silver color with blue bumpers and trim, along with oak leather interior. The interior is beautiful, and has striking details like walnut trim and contrasting stitching on the seats. This is a gorgeous car! The interior of this V70 XC is in very, very good condition, especially considering the mileage. It has oak beige leather XC heated seats with beautiful walnut accents on the dash and door panels. The car has the "high performance sound" Alpine audio system upgrade which sounds excellent. It also has a power moonroof. There is a cup holder that accommodates two beverages. There is also an accessory dash cup holder which accommodates a third beverage in the front of the car. It also makes for an excellent smart phone holder. Who knew? This Volvo has dual front airbags, as well as front side airbags, and curtain airbags for the front and rear seats. It's got the WHIPS whiplash protection system as well which prevents whiplash in the event of a rear-end collission. It also features heated mirrors and headlight wipers, which are part of the climate package. There is a nice set of original floor mats included with the car. Generally, the interior of this XC70 is great. It shows like a car with much lower mileage. The exterior of this XC70 is in remarkably good condition, and Silver Metallic in color. The exterior of the car is actually in very nice condition, and there aren't any major flaws to note at all. The bumpers and cladding are in great condition. The wheels are in remarkable shape and look nearly new. The tires are matching Dunlops with great tread remaining. The brakes are in good shape and the car stops as it should. The legendary 2.4 Liter low pressure turbocharged 5 cylinder engine runs flawlessly and is very smooth. The transmission is also excellent. The transmission was overhauled and functions perfectly. We also went ahead and completed the timing belt service, along with the PCV/Oil Trap service. These are the two most vital and costly services on these cars, and this car is now good for another 100k miles without any major service. I then take it for two additional inspections, and whatever it needs, it gets. Now YOU don’t have to pay to replace anything, it’s all been done for you. Here's the deal: -- This is a 2001 Volvo V70 XC AWD in jet black over beige leather interior, with matching carpets and headliner. It looks incredible for the mileage, with no real rust, oxidation, or wear anywhere. This car was LOVED and it shows. There is hardly a ding or scratch anywhere. -- -- Exterior 9 out of 10 – Very nice condition ALL ORIGINAL paint, body, glass, and trim. No dings, dents, or scuffs. This V70 XC looks great, with a deep shine to the black paint. This car looks great even under fluorescent light in a garage. Imagine getting a 15 year old black car with no swirl marks or spiderwebs in the paint….amazing! -- -- The lower side-body moldings are in great shape. The chrome, rubber, glass, and trim is all very nice. No oxidation, fade, wear, etc. as you might expect of a 15 year old car. Look at the body panels.....they are nice and straight. Clean carfax and Autocheck with no stories, and no accidents, bodywork, or paintwork EVER. -- -- This V70 XC’s options based on its original MSRP of $40,100 include cold weather package (heated seats), power sunroof, touring package (power passenger seat, trip computer, CD player, auto dimming mirror, homelink), integrated booster seats, and introduction package (leather seats, steering wheel, and gear shift, simulated wood on doors/glove box, cargo protection, grocery bag holder). And of course all the usual V70 XC gear like AWD, roof rack, power everything, memory seats, and much more. Wow! -- -- Now let's get to the BEST PART: service history! That's what this car is all about. In the last 6K miles, this V70 XC has had a new battery, new electronic throttle module with software programming by the Volvo dealer, PCV valve, purge valve, alignment, alternator, A/C compressor, rear CV joint, rear brake pads and rotors, emergency brake, rear wheel bearings, RH headlight, turn signal bulbs, gas cap, wiper blades, oil change, fluid flushes. That’s roughly $4500 in parts and labor right there. -- -- Then we have its prior service history, which includes $65 oil change at 183K miles, $830 ETM at 176K miles, $3424 in front hubs/flame trap/full intermediate service/spark plugs/filters/coolant flush at 175K miles, $65 oil change at 167K miles, $1038 for both front CV joints and trans flush at 161K miles, $65 oil change at 159K miles, $1128 for axles, rear brake pads, rear sway bar links at 148K miles, $1138 for brake booster at 144K miles, and on and on and on. That’s $7753 (SEVEN THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED FIFTY THREE DOLLARS!!!) in the last 48K miles IN ADDITION TO THE $4500 I SPENT WHEN I BOUGHT IT FOR MY WIFE!!! It’s unreal, you’ll never see another V70 XC like this one. -- It currently wears its factory 16” OEM alloys. All are true and in nice overall condition with only minor marks. The tires are all-seasons with about 45% tread remaining. But at the BIN price I will ALSO include a brand new set of Pirelli Winter Carving Edge 205/60/16 mounted and balanced. This V70 XC goes arrow-straight down the road at high speed with no shimmy, pull, or anything else. -- -- Interior 9 out of 10 - The interior overall including seating and door leather, seat padding, dash, console, wood, and carpets are in very nice condition. No dash cracks, carpet rips, very little wear of any kind in the interior (sunroof upholstered panel is worn out). Everything looks and feels great. This is not the typical worn V70 - this car looks like a low-mileage car and it shows. These pictures are without even any type of detailing, just a wash and a vacuum. There is no dullness or fade to anything…it’s really nice. All faux-wood trim is bright and glossy without and cracks or fading. -- -- The door panels and trim are also in great shape, like the rest of the car. -- -- Even the hatch and spare are mint, spare and tools in place. -- -- Electrical 10 out of 10 - All lights, switches, radio, windows, wipers, seat motors/memory/pulse, and power mirrors work perfectly. Power lock system, remote key fob, interior lights, etc all operating as they should. NO instrument cluster warnings, NO problems at all. -- -- The suspension system is operating properly with no clunks or thunks. The service history is truly incredible at over $12K in RECENT work, probably topping $20K since new. And all documented at the Volvo dealer. The HVAC system is fast to respond, and operates perfectly with scalding hot heat and ice-cold A/C. Seat heaters are working properly. -- -- Cool modifications and upgrades included at the BIN price are: Class II trailer hitch installed 5K miles ago by me, never used to pull a trailer, only for a bike rack. Hella 500 driving lights on a custom bracket wired to turn on with the high beams. Satellite radio installed and working via RF modulator into radio. Ceiling mounted DVD player with large LCD display and remote and two sets of wireless headphones. -- -- Mechanical 10 out of 10 - Engine starts, idles, runs, and revs to redline in every gear smooth and strong. You can NOT tell when this car is running at idle! Transmission is VERY smooth with ZERO issues of any kind. Downshifts eagerly and upshifts seamlessly. I HAD MY LOCAL ASE SHOP AND FRIEND INSTALL IT AT AN ADDITIONAL 1500.00. OVER THE YEARS I PUT A XEMODEX ETM AND CONSIERABLE OTHER PARTS INTO IT TIRE, AXLES, GENERATOR ETC. IT HAS MULTIPLE LIGHTS ON AS WE ARE 100 MILES FROM A VOLVO SHOP TO HAVE THEM RESET. IF YOU WANT A GOOD DAILY DRIVER , OR YOU JUST WANT IT FOR ITS 5000.00 RETAIL TRANSMISSION FOR A DO, IT YOURSELFER OR SOMEONE IN NEED OF THE TRANS AND OTHER PARTSTHIS IS THE RIGHT CAR. THE TRANS LIGHT IS ON CAUSE THE VOLVO SHOP WANTED 4000.00 TO INSTALL THE TRANS, THE AIR BAG LIGHT JUST CAME ON AND AT SOME POINT SOON IT WILL NEED THE MASTER BRAKE BOOSTER REPAIRED.
