2000 Volvo V70 XC AWD We are pleased to present this very nice 2000 Volvo V70 XC AWD. There are several things that make this car quite special, but none more than the fact that it has only 60 THOUSAND MILES! These 98-00 V70s are developing quite a following among our customers, and we are constantly having people asking us to find nice examples of them (because of our reputation as a seller of volvos of this vintage). We scour the country looking for the finest examples of these cars. We often come across them, but rarely in the fantastic condition of this particular one. These cars were in production since the eary 90s (as the 850), and then from 1998-2000 they were lightly redesigned and made more luxurious and sold as the V70. These final versions of Volvo's first front wheel drive car are perhaps one of the most reliable Volvos ever made! In fact, the engine and transmission configuration in this car will have no problem eating all of the miles you throw at it. We have seen several of these with 300, 400, and even 500k miles! Now, on top of all of the things that make this 2000 V70 XC special, this is also very, very well optioned. It's stuffed with options like the Touring Packge, Leather, Moonroof, This is nearly as highly optioned as a V70XC can be in the 2000 model year! It also has homelink, and grocery bag holders in the cargo area. Going anywhere in the winter is now something you'll never have to worry about. These V70 XCs feature the very first iteration of Haldex's All Wheel Drive. Hadex is a Swedish based company which does nothing but design and manufacture all wheel drive systems. Their systems have come to be used in makes and models in various car companies, and even in extremely high performance cars such as the new Volvo S60 Polestar. The first generation of this system is regarded as many Volvo enthusiasts as being the best for winter traction. It also has a winter mode for the transmission which starts the car out in second gear to prevent wheel spin. This car is a TWO OWNER vehicle. The second owners of tihs car owned it since they purchased it certified pre-owned and they kept it serviced by the Volvo dealership regularly. Right down to it having a Volvo battery. This is a very very well cared for car, and we have its complete service history. The interior of this V70 is in very good condition. In fact, overall, this is one of the nicest interiors we've ever seen in one of these cars. The tan leather seats are in nearly perfect condition for the car's age with no tears. They're still quite soft, and feel great. You'll notice in the photos that the arm rest is worn. We've already replaced this and it looks great now. Everything in the interior works. The car has the upgraded high-performance alpine/volvo sound system with 10 speakers and a CD/Cassette player. It's easy to use, and sounds excellent. It also has a power moonroof. The previous owner of this car was definitely a non-smoker. These cars don't even come with cigarette lighters, just power outlets. There is a cup holder that accommodates two beverages (and they're not broken!). This Volvo has dual front airbags, as well as front side airbags. The side airbags are part of a system called SIPS which stands for "Side Impact Protection System." This is a combination of high-strength door beams, specially designed door openings, and side airbags, which keeps the passengers safe in the event of a side impact. Since this is a 2000, it's also the only year of this style V70 which has WHIPS whiplash protection system which prevents the front seat passengers from experiencing whiplash in the event of a rear-end collission. The rear seats fold flat, and the passenger front seat also folds down for carrying very long cargo. The exterior of this V70 is in remarkably good condition, and is Dark Olive Pearl in color. This is one of the more beautiful colors for these cars, and the contrast between the dark green exterior and the tan interior is very striking. The exterior of this car is just gorgeous, and the paint is in wonderful condition. It's obvious that this car was garaged for its life. The car has very nice exclusive 15" "Terra" alloy wheels which are in great condition and only came on the 2000 models. Please note the ding that is above the right rear window. We have a paintless dent removal service scheduled to come remove this ding, and it will be handled before the car is sold. The tires are all in nice shape and are matching Continentals with good tread life remaining. The brakes are in good shape and the car stops as it should. This vehicle will need a head gasket. The resevior bottle cracked and she ran it out of water. The interior has no rips in the seats. Everything on the car worked prior to this engine failure. If you have an engine this would be a good buy or if you need parts off this model vehicle, this is a goldmine. Selling my very clean 1998 Volvo V70 XC Wagon Cross Country. Volvos are known for their reliability and safety and longevity and I honestly can say this car is a particularly nice one and well maintained by me and all the previous owners! I have a carfax from when I purchased the car 2 years ago and it shows no accidents and no negatives on the car whatsoever. I actually purchased this car from a Carmax mechanic who purchased it from them and owned it for 7 years and as many of you know Carmax only keeps the best of the best while they send the others off to the auction! It is a nice Bronze color with Tan leather interior, fully loaded with Cold A/C and good heather for winter, power windows and doors, sunroof, heated seats, headlight wipers, Am/Fm Cassette. It only has 128,849 miles and is All Wheel Drive so it is great in snow. It has the trustworthy 2.4L Turbo 5 cylinder engine which is top notch and always starts right up even in the coldest of days, but I must admit it is not particularly fast but is very safe and reliable and it would be a perfect first car for a high schoolers or college kid. This Volvo is in very good shape for its age, no rust and the paint looks good, there are a few minor door dings on the car from parking lots, and the worst ding is in the back where you can see it in the photos but it not that bad. The front and rear bumpers have little marks in various places but again not terrible, Front headlights and turn signals look new as it had a protective plastic covering which was on since new but reasonably removed because they were yellowing. The tires are only a few years old but and are in excellent condition. I have owned it for 2 years and honestly was planning on keeping it forever but I have use it so infrequently that I see no point on paying for the insurance since I have only driven it 8000 miles since purchased. The seats are in good shape with no rips or tears. All around, this car is really allot for the money being and would great in your driveway! The car has: New front brakes (rotors and pads) Battery is only 1 year old Timing Belt was replace at 102740 miles Turbo Silicone Hose kit installed Tires are fairly new with about 10000 miles on them Please check out my other items and be sure to also add me to your favorites list!
