Our parents bought this car used approx. 10 yrs ago at the local Volvo dealer when the original owners traded it in. Dad saw it, described it as a cream puff, and had to have it. He bought it as a second backup car for Mom, who rarely drives. Its been kept in a garage, not seen winters and very occasionally used. It is still a cream puff! He is upset about the one scratch he put in the rear bumper with the lawnmower one day. Otherwise the body and paint are in amazing condition. As I waxed it for them, I found a few nicks and very light scratches, but you'll need to look hard for them. We've driven this car for a few weeks to make sure all is well. We took it into the shop to have it checked out and have it inspected. We had the oil and spark plugs changed. These Volvos had the warranty extended to 10 years if issues existed with the throttle body, but Dad never took it into the dealer. Our mechanic recommended the work, so we spent $750 to be sure the new owner did not experience any issues. I'm into classic cars, and have a lift at home, so I inspected the undercarriage and it's excellent. It was lightly undercoated when new and there are no rust issues on the floor, fuel, brake lines etc. Volvo designs their undercarriages to resist rust extremely well. We have a 2001 XC70 and its undercarriage is amazing, even though it used every year in our winters. Our XC70 has 150K miles on it, same motor and still running strong. When you see this car, you will think it is only a few years old, it looks like new. When you get into the interior, it will be like new. The leather seats are barely broken in. Dad kept the mats covered with the extra service mats from the Volvo dealer. It has an impressive list of power and convenience features. Volvo makes some of the best seats of any car, and these are heated too, with all the power adjustments. We've come to appreciate the Volvo seats in our XC70 for long trips. Tilt up the sunroof or slide it open to let the air and sun in. The car drives solid with its European suspension. And if you need some power, the 2.4 liter turbo has all the power you need. Take a look at S70s out there, and you will see their longevity and quality, as its routine to see these still working great for sale with 200K miles. This one is an AWD all wheel drive, an option that many S70s did not have. It also has a winter traction option it. You will be hard pressed to find a Volvo or any car of this caliber, in such nice condition with low miles for under $15,000. Based on our other Volvo and others out there, you can easily drive this car for another 10 years, in luxury and safety. If you have any questions, send us note and we can call you back. 1998 Volvo S70 GLT white with tan leather interior and sunroof 235,000 miles on the body100,000 miles on the engine (engine was replaced 16,000 miles ago with a 1999 S70 turbo engine with 83,000 miles at the time of the swap.The good:- timing belt, serpentine belt, water pump, distributor, spark cables, spark plugs, radiator replaced less than 1000 miles ago- brake rotors and pads replaced less than 1000 miles ago- two brand new front CV half axles go with the car (ran out of time to replace them)- power everything and everything works, including the radio/cd player and the remote control- tow bar with wiring is fully functional- clean and clear title, passed smog last year, tags expired September 2016The bad:- engine coolant circuit has a leak: the car loses all the water immediately after reaching operating temperature. The motor runs but the car has to be towed. The oil doesn't look milky and there aren't exhaust fumes in the coolant, nor white smoke, so it may be just a leak in the coolant circuit, but it also may be a broken thermostat or, worst case, a shot head gasket. Car has to be towed!- tan leather interior in fair condition, front seats have rips- rear left door broken actuator - shocks holding up rear trunk lid are shot

Here for sale is a project that I never started, I bought this S70 having planned to pull the transmission and all associated parts to do a manual swap on my 850R. But after lots of thought I didn't want to go pulling apart a car that runs perfectly and is so preserved and original. So I pulled the turbo off which happens to be a 16T and it has been sitting every since. Well now that I'm tired of looking at it it's time to sell. Interior is in excellent shape. Leather is almost perfect minus being a little dirty. I steam cleaned the front driver seat and reconditioned it and the underlying condition really surprised me. If you've been looking for one of these cars with a turbocharged engine that has never been in an accident, then look no further. This car has what you want. Runs and Drives with 100% stability on the highway. Has cold AC. Considering that it is a 1998 car, it has some dents and scatches here and there but overall it is decent. This is a very rare 5 Speed Turbo, of which about only 350 were made in 1998 by Volvo. Ideally, a Volvo or car enthusiast will purchase it, as it is going to need some work to restore it to its glory days when it packed some serious power! I'm not a car guy, and do not have the time to put into it at this point of my life. I am the 3rd owner and I purchased it at 108,000 miles a little over 8 years ago. The Good: Timing belt, battery, tires, tie rods were all replaced last year. Major tune up completed last month. Front and rear brakes are both at 50%. Sunroof/moonroof works great. TRACS system was repaired last year. Passed DEQ emissions in June, so tags are good until June, 2017. I have been using either a synthetic blend or straight synthetic oil since I purchased it. The car always starts and never once has failed me or left me stranded; it is super reliable! Here are the issues that I am aware of: Cosmetic: Interior could use a good cleaning. The driver's leather seat has been cracked ever since I bought it. I haven't wanted to replace it because of the heated seats. The passenger side mirror needs repair. The power door lock on the driver side sometimes sticks. The rear right door lock does not work and must be opened manually. The trunk lever is jammed. One of the minor rear left taillights is out. Air conditioning works but needs a recharge. Check engine light is either on or flicking, as it is getting zero compression on valve 2. It's idling and running poorly and getting poor mileage as of about 250 miles ago. The turn signals start off working, but sometimes after driving for awhile get stuck and stay lit. This is probably just a short in the connection. Vehicle burns oil, and I add about a quart every 1000 miles. I understand that this is pretty common for a turbo as the mileage gets up there.
