2006 Volvo S60 T5 SE (High Pressure Turbo "Special Edition") We are pleased to present this incredibly nice Volvo S60 T5 SE which is a very very rare car. This is quite a desirable car for a few reasons. Starting in 2005, the T5 model of the S60 became a very serious performance machine. It features different sport seats, a sportier interior trim, larger light alloy wheels, larger brakes, a lower, more sporty suspension with larger anti-sway bars, servotronic speed sensing variable-assist steering, and of course, the all-important 257 horsepower high pressure turbocharged inline 5 cylinder engine. You get all of this performance wrapped up in an ultra safe, ultra reliable Volvo. In fact, Rachael, our sales manager, drives a nearly identical car with about 250,000 miles on it. Her car has been trouble-free for the entire duration of her ownership. These cars rarely have mechanical problems. This S60 is finished in Titanium Pearl, which was a new color for the 2004 model year. People always seem to love this color in person. Volvo has always developed the most interesting paint colors. On top of all of this, this is an "SE" or "Special Edition" model which adds some really cool and interesting features on top of the standard S60 T5. These features include, but aren't limited to Chrome door mirror caps, chrome door handles, 225 watt Dolby Pro Logic II Surround Sound "Sound Plus" audio system with 9 speakers, Sirius Satellite Radio, Exclusive Mesh Aluminum Inlays, and a lot more! The interior of this S60 is in very, very good condition. It has arena (tan) leather sport heated seats with very rare real aluminum mesh accents on the dash, console, and doors which are in place of the wood normally found in the less sporty S60s. It gives the car a very unique interior look. The car has the "sound plus" Alpine audio system upgrade which sounds excellent and features 225 watts of power distributed through 9 speakers including a center dash fill speaker and Dolby Pro Logic II Surround Sound processor. It also has a power moonroof. The previous owner of this car was definitely a non-smoker. These cars don't even come with cigarette lighters, just power outlets. There is a cup holder that accommodates two beverages. This Volvo has dual front airbags, as well as front side airbags, and curtain airbags for the front and rear seats. It also features Volvo's WHIPS Whiplash protection system. It also has rain sensitive windshield wipers, along with heated mirrors, and high-pressure wash headlamps. The interior also features sport seats in the front and rear which are probably the best seats Volvo has ever made. They have a bit more bolstering than the standard S60 models, but not as much as the "R" models. They're a perfect balance. The exterior of this S60 is in remarkably good condition for any year or mileage, and is Titanium Pearl in color. This is one of the most desirable colors on S60s, and really makes the car stand out. The exterior of the car is actually in very nice condition, and there aren't any major flaws to note. The car has no accident history at all. The 17 inch Cassiopeia alloy wheels are in good condition but the finish has begun to peel from them. This seems common with this style of wheel for some reason. The car has had only two owners since it was new, and both owners seem to have serviced the car exceptionally well. Otherwise, there really are no flaws on the exterior of the car. Even the bumpers are free of scratches and the paint is in gorgeous condition. The tires are all Matching Nokian WRs and have very good tread remaining. The brakes are in good shape and the car stops as it should. The legendary 2.4 Liter high pressure turbocharged 5 cylinder engine runs flawlessly and is very smooth. The transmission is also excellent. It's very smooth, while still handling well. Because this is a T5 High Pressure Turbo model, you'll notice several differences under the hood, like a revised inake system with a conical air filter, and a larger charge pipe. This, along with a larger turbo, and a tuned exhaust system allow the car to make more power. The engine itself is strengthened so that reliability is not compromised in any way. In fact, we've noticed that the high pressure turbo cars seem to be more reliable since the engines are more "beefed up" to handle the larger turbo's forced induction. The owners manual set is present along with the window sticker. The service book has been stamped by the dealership indicating that it has received its most recent service. The timing belt sticker is also present under the hood. As was mentioned above, these cars rarely have mechanical issues, and this is definitely a car that you could purchase with the intention of putting hundreds of thousands of miles on the odometer.
