This is a 2006 Volvo S60R. I have owned the vehicle for approximately four years and bought it from a dealer in Atlanta with 110,000 miles. Since then I have taken extremely good care of the car and performed all of the maintenance myself or used an independent Volvo mechanic. The timing belt was replaced at 120k, new front shocks (1,000$) at 150k, and the front end (ball joints, control arms, etc.) were all replaced around 170k miles. Currently the car has 177,600 miles on it, and it will go up slightly because it is my daily driver. The car sits on 4 Michelin tires with lots of tread left on them. Every 5,000 miles I replaced the oil and filter (Mobil 1 Synthetic). The car is equipped with electric and heated front seats, sunroof, home-link garage system, cruise control, HU-650 stereo, power windows and doors, adaptive driving modes, two keys, and many other options. This R edition of the S60 uses the standard 2.5L inline 5 engine from Volvo but contains several engine upgrades from the factory including a larger turbocharger. The result of these upgrades boosts the normal 2.5T engine found in the regular S60 from 208 to 300 horsepower in the R model. The engine coupled with the 6 speed manual transmission makes this Volvo a dream to drive. This car fires right up and shifts through all 6 gears tremendously. I just returned from a trip to New Orleans in the vehicle and it was exquisite from start to finish. If you’re looking for a comfortable and reliable cruiser capable of 0-60 times in the 5.5 second range while achieving 28MPG on the highway this is the vehicle for you. The vehicle is also All Wheel Drive and performs beautifully in snow, ice, and rain. There are no problems with this vehicle at all. I usually buy and sell my daily driver each year, but I have kept this car for over 4 years. I hate to see it go but I’m ready to get in to something different to suit my current needs.
