I purchased this classic Volvo new with European delivery and have owned it ever since (except for a few months over a decade ago when we sold it to a German exchange student living with us and bought it back again). I have maintained it punctiliously, and you'll see from the photo how the engine looks. When the front leather seats began to age, we had new leather upholstery installed. We also installed a raised third rear brake light. The 6-cylinder diesel engine runs smoothly and gets 30+ mpg on the highway. Diesel fuel costs less than regular in many places now. Like any diesel, it loves to get warmed up, and with winter coming, it needs a milder climate than we have in Wyoming. It has always been either garaged or under a high-quality car cover (included) and the paint and trim are fantastic. There is no rust. The buyer is responsible for vehicle pick-up or shipping.
