The car is one of only 3,069 1800ES in the 1973 model year, and one of only about 11,000 manufactured in total. Our ES has covered a mere 61,900 miles and is brilliantly original with the exception of one high-quality respray in the original color. The car is powered by Volvo’s renowned B20 4-cylinder engine andhas the desirable 4-speed gearbox with Laycock de Normanville electric overdrive. Cold factory AC makes this a practical classic. There is no evidence of rust or damage. The panels are straight and body gaps are excellent. The engine is beautifully detailed. All of the chrome trim is present and in excellent condition, and very few surviving 1800ES have the sporty roof rack. Additional features on the ES include power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes and electrically defrosted rear window.
