1998 Volvo C70 Turbo CoupeHello! Up for auction is this sleek looking 1st Gen Volvo C70 Coupe w/ ~ 175700 miles. I've had this car for 7 years, mainly used for work 30 miles roundtrip ea. day & light transportation through the states of CT/MA/NY. In that time I've had the plugs, wires, accessory belt, fluids regularly changed. In late 2013, at approx 158,000 miles, the timing belt was replaced - along with a rebuilt cylinder head. All pulleys, accessory belts, etc. were changed at that time by a certified Volvo mechanic.Car starts up immediately and runs good - never had a problem with the transmission - which shifts seamlessly to this day. Accelerates quick and effortlessly with the 2.3L HPT. Idles well just under 1K RPM. Stock rock solid exhaust is very quiet. Engine is strong - recently rebuilt head as noted. Tires at 85% Fronts, Rears 60%. Two front axles new and installed in 2014. ABC/TRACS Light is on. Engine light is also on - pulled codes for the air pump. The body overall is in good condition - some slight paint chips to front of nose on both sides of the chrome grille. Typical wear on the front bumper, silver tow hook cover painted recently - but is chipping away. Paint chipping away below the right front corner light, plastic fender may of been pulled a tad. The side view mirrors I noticed the clear coat is peeling off, but silver paint's spot on. Overall the paint on the sides and rear look very good. The rear decklid to the trunk there are some light scratches on top of that area. The rear window - some of the gasket or plastic weatherstripping(?) is falling apart - but doesn't leak. Body still looks very good and silver SHINY.Black on Black interior in good condition for its age - never smoked in as long I was the owner. Driver's leather seat has wear from daily use / Passenger looks very good and the back seats look GREAT. Headliner's fairly clean. Below the rubber floor mats are clean floors - most wear is to the drivers. Power seats work well, all buttons on dash are operative - sunroof opens, closes and tilts up. ACC heat/ac work great! I noticed the lights blink on the unit until 30 seconds after start up which does not affect operation. Aftermarket Eclipse CD5000 radio w/ 4-channel amplifier in trunk - powers the stock Dynaudio speaker system. Aftermarket window tints are legal at 35% - all 4 sides and rear. Some bad: Plastic wood grain behind/around the shifter looks rough and is breaking away in some spots. Some panels in the interior may be loose from losing clips over age. DASHBOARD RATTLES! I've temporarily reduced the rattling of the dash with foam and other material, but it's not perfect The dash will certainly need to be pulled apart and the anchors fixed to be a quiet ride. The volume on the premium stereo certainly helps too..As I pointed out - the dashboard rattles, engine light is on w/ air pump codes, ABS/Tracs light on - which could be a ABS module fix. Rear window - outer gasket (?) falling out. Some slight cosmetic damage to interior and exterior - overall the car is a good example of a '98 Volvo C70 with its mileage and age. These cars especially in coupe form are getting harder to find and this one is no exception.With the purchase of this car I will throw in a spare 17" Volvo wheel, *NEW* Radiator [$120] + Fittings, *NEW* Front and Rear Rotors, *NEW* Brake Pads [Total brakes about $250].
