Howdy folks! I greatly appreciate you taking the time from your day to read about my Volvo. I will say right up front, if you are not a Volvo person then this vehicle is probably not going to do much for you. I have thought about how to best sell this vehicle, and how to reach the widest market and eBay is what I came up with. How can you describe a car, in words, and try to convince someone to buy it and not be able to experience, feel it, drive it, -- I have no idea....but I am going to do my best. Before I get into the car, I will offer some background on myself. I am a Volvo nerd. My first car was a 1964 1800S, and between my dad and I we have owned every model since the PV-444 to XC90's. I currently live in Savannah, GA and I really hope to connect with someone via this listing that can come SEE the vehicle. I grew up in Northern VA, and moved to Savannah about 15 years ago where I ended up managing service at Volvo of Savannah (fitting, right?!) for about 12 years until I opened my own dealership with my wife, eBay will not let me post an active link, so, you can Google Riehl Automotive to read more about our business, and to see our reviews and whatnot, and get more information about me.Ok, so.....this vehicle was a project for me, it is done and I had my fun, it is time to pass it along to her next owner....I bought it about 12 months ago -- I recognized the potential it had as a true survivor -- last year of the 850, low miles, and turbo. The body and paint are amazing, and overall it was a great vehicle. When I bought it, I knew it ran hot however I did know know why. After getting into I was saddened to find the head-gasket had a weak spot in it. This is where is gets fun.I had a friend that had 1997 850-R sedan that had been wrecked in the front real bad. So my wheels began to turn....so I bought it from him and got to work. So, I had the head pulled and we located the weak point in the head. The head was sent off and was checked and cleaned. She started going back together....we took the cams and the ECM from the R vehicle and installed them in this vehicle. Everything went perfect -- all new gaskets were used, new plugs were installed, new timing belt, water pump, roller, tensioner, the whole deal. While we were there we opened the waste gate on the turbo, 5 psi kick in 1500 RPM's faster on the power scale - this car is a sleeper and it is nasty.The interior was totally redone:headliner was replacedR seats were installed front and rearR steering wheel was installedR hand brake coverR door panel insertsR shift knob (it is worn) It does has aftermarket 17 inch wheels - front and rear tires are all the same size and are all at around 50% treadThe front two match and the rear two match (brand) The mileage IS ACCURATE. I have the CarFax but can not post it on here, please email me and I can send the file. Mechanically, I will outline what I have done, and what I know has been done: both front drive axles are new just had it aligned new turbo return line o-ring and dipstick tube o-ring battery is about 18 months old rear man seal is NOT LEAKING timing belt, water pump, and the tensioner are brand new front and rear brakes are brand new (they do squeak a little) there are no shimmies or pulls when you brake, drive, decelerate, or accelerate plugs, cap, rotor, and plugs were recently done oil change and coolant are fresh AC and heat work I have two keys All manuals are present all power options work (windows, locks, cruise, heated seats, gauges, seats, sunroof (does NOT leak), stereo)there are NO DASH WARNING LIGHTS ONthe turbo has no issuesheadliner was just replacedradiator is brand new Cosmetically this vehicle is as good as you will find for a 1997 the paint is NOT perfect, but it is CLOSE, I would say 9.5 out of 10the back seat looks like it may never has been sat inthe front seats are NOT cracked but have some minor wear the headliner IS NOT falling down A few things to mentionI have the radio codeThe dash pad is pulling up. 1997 Volvo 850 Turbo Sedan. 167,500 miles. This is a great car and has many more miles ahead of it! It has served me very well. I was the second owner of the vehicle. Just replaced new within the year include: battery, starter, fuel pump, and oil pan. Most recent oil change was September 2015. Well maintained. Heated seats and mirrors, great heat, great AC, and sun roof. Will pass inspection. Wear on the leather of the two front seats and general wear for an older car, but overall great shape for the age. Sold as is. I also own a set of studded snow tires already mounted on the wheel that I can include for 500$/ set. Please feel free to contact me with any and all questions.

Up for sale is a used 1995 Volvo 850 in Gold. It runs, drives, and does so well, though there are issues that will be listed below. In this listing, I will highlight the good, the bad, and the bottom line of the vehicle. The Good This vehicle was purchased from the previous owner in 2005. It has never been involved in any accidents, and the body and motor have approximately 210,000 miles, plus or minus 10,000 miles (the odometer stopped at 73,500 miles, so this number was reached in conjunction with the previous owner, and the amount that we have driven it). The vehicle has a clear Florida title and is ready to be transferred directly to you. There are no liens or any other problems with the title. The transmission was replaced approximately 40,000 miles ago, and at the time that transmission had approximately 50,000 miles on it. As such, this transmission has approximately 90,000-100,000 miles on it. It received a transmission flush in October of 2012, and functions without issue. The frame is 100% solid, with no issues or rust evident. This car spent a majority of it's life in Florida (and has been in Virginia since Spring of 2013), so it did not experience the hard winter weather which will effect the stability of the frame. There are no major problems evident on any body panels, with all four doors, the hood, trunk, fenders, roof, and remaining panels showing no evidence of rust and little evidence of dents or dings. All glass is free of cracks, and the windshield was replaced new in August of 2014. The paint is in fairly excellent condition for its age, with no major blemishes or worn areas evident. The Air Conditioning is functional and blows cold, the power seats, locks, windows are functional, and the CD/Cassette deck is in full working order. Cruise control also functions without any problems, as does all lights, turn signals, windshield wipers, and power sunroof. One pair of tires is approximately 1 year old with 10-12,000 miles on them, while another set is approximately 5 months old with 4-5,000 miles on them. All four rotors and pads were replaced in October of 2014 with brand-new parts. The Not-So-Good The engine exhibits the presence of oil sludge and the smell of coolant, so there is a strong likelihood that the car has a blown head gasket. In spite of this, the vehicle has no problems starting, running, and driving. How long this will last, I do not know; I recommend an immediate repair of the issue. As of right now, the vehicle is mostly not used. The power steering leaks and gradually stops functioning until more fluid is added. Once fluid is in the reservoir, the steering resumes normal function. The back doors do not open. This is a result of a ring in the latch assembly falling loose from another piece, so neither the inside nor outside handles will open the doors. This can be fixed by removing the door panel and re-seating the ring onto the latch assembly hook. The trunk will not stay up, and it must be propped open. This is not a result of the pistons themselves failing, but slipping off of the latch in the interior of the vehicle. This can be fixed by re-attaching the pistons onto the frame of the car. The interior is in fairly bad shape, with the exception of the carpeting (which isn't that great, either). The seats are by far the most affected piece, with many severe problems throughout. Seat covers would be a solution to this issue. The headliner is completely gone, and the dashboard/center console area is heavily worn. The steering wheel is in excellent condition, as is the instrument panel and CD/Cassette deck. There are no overhead lights, only lights in the floorboard area. The heat will rarely blow hot, unless when sitting in traffic. When at cruise on the motorway, the heat will typically not blow hot. One battery cable exhibits a poor connection and will need to be replaced. The battery itself is tested as having no bad cells as of 5 May, 2015. The window tinting is decayed and will need to be removed all the way around the vehicle. The gas cap will need a replacement. The gear shift knob has broken off and will need a replacement. Some buttons control incorrect things. For example, the front driver-side power window button controls the back driver-side window, and vice-versa. The Bottom Line Ultimately, I am selling this car because I have recently acquired a new one and I do not have currently have the time to address the issues which this vehicle has. It has served as a reliable mode of transportation since we have owned the car, but at this point we hope to pass it on to someone who can either repair it, or utilize it for the many excellent parts it has. Currently, in "fair" condition (with significant mechanical or cosmetic issues), the car has an approximate value of around $2,200. Given the issues it has, I do not expect to get this price; however, please do not low-ball me, because I will eventually have the time to part this vehicle out and earn what the car is rightfully worth. Given the issues, this vehicle will not pass a Virginia State inspection, hence why it still carries Florida registration. I have tried to include as many photos as possible, so you can see the condition of the vehicle. I will take more pictures upon request. I have tried to describe any issues that it may have to the best of my knowledge, and I will add any that I may think of over the next few days. I WILL: Accept cash in a secured public area, such as a bank. The exchange of title and keys will occur at this point. I WILL NOT: Accept checks, PayPal, or Credit/Debit cards. I will not ship the car, and I will not drive the car a long distance. This car is available for local pickup only, in the DC-Virginia-Maryland (Greater Washington) area, within reason.

Up for sale is a fantastic 1995 Volvo 850 GLT with a staggeringly low 105k miles. It has a clean title, clean Carfax, and has been safety checked and smog checked ready for a lucky new owner. Recent full service with new knock sensors and hub bearing, costing almost $600. The paint is like new, and looks like it did when it left the Volvo factory in Sweden in 1995. The interior is in good condition also, with just a little damage on the dash (it's curled up and could probably be glued back down) and the carpet has a pinkish tint to it! Otherwise, it's as good inside as it is outside. Drives beautifully and has four almost new BF Goodrich tires. AC is ice cold. Great budget motoring in a classy, executive sedan.
