This vehicle does have over 260,000 miles on it, but a quick search on Edmunds will reveal that this car is one of the most common vehicles found on the road with an odometer reading well into the 300,000 mile mark. I just completed a drive to Elizabeth City, twice over (4 stretches of 47 miles) this week alone in the car, and had no problems. This vehicle has also relocated me safely across the US 3 times, with the start and end location varying between NC and CO. KBB value is listed at $1,322. The vehicle still has the original engine and transmission. In Breckenridge, CO, where I lived until June 2016, it handled just fine in the feet of snow we receive, all without chains nor snow tires. While she does perform excellently during my long commutes, and did just pass inspection, some work does need to be done to the O2 sensor, basic welding work (that I don't possess the skill set for). The check engine light remains on, and a mechanic said this is why. Furthermore, the traction control and ABS systems need repair work, if those are features you seek to be fully functional. This is the first vehicle I've ever owned, so I've taken excellent care of it and it truly holds sympathetic value. I'm selling it because I recently purchased a Tahoe, as my life has increased in size. These vehicles are safe, comfortable, durable and capable of very high mileage as well as reasonably efficient. Somewhat rare, the 5 speed manual transmission helps make an already good car better by making it fun to drive. This 850 wagon drives very well - as you would expect from a low mileage, one owner, local Southern car. It is in good mechanical condition and has been thoroughly serviced in preparation for sale. This included an oil change, tires balanced, timing belt service, control arm bushings replaced, new upper engine mount, new wiper blades, state inspection and cleanup. This car does not appear to have been garaged. The carpet and door panels are faded inside. The paint on the roof and hood is no longer glossy. The car still has less wear than most 850 wagons due to the low mileage and always being here (no rust) and not being smoked in. Had it been kept inside it would still be nearly perfect. Please note that on the Carfax, there is an accident showing for the left rear. The damage has not been fixed and is so minor that it should not have even been noted. This example is pretty basic compared to most 850's. It has the leather interior & integrated child booster seat and that's about it - no alloy wheels, no moon roof, no power seats, no turbo, no automatic transmission - or in other words, fewer items to go wrong. The Exterior of the car is clean. Look at the pictures to see. Only minor dings and scratches considered minor-to-normal wear and tear for an 18yo vehicle. The Interior of the car is relatively clear. Again look at the pictures to see any normal wear and tear fo an 18 yo vehicle. There is some reinforcement to prevent sagging in the headliner. Also, a small hole on the door-side of Driver's seat.The gear shift knob has some of the hard rubber casing removed, but planning to replace the knob. Pictures will be updated when replaced.
