Beautiful, classic Volvo 240 These engines run forever! Research the reliability yourself. If you know anything about these cars then you know they are great and increasingly sought after. The good:Timing Belt recently changedThrottle Body recently cleanedNew exhaustBrand new inspection sticker143k original miles, with working odometerBeautiful nice interiorGreat car!!! The "bad":A/C does not work at the momentA small rust spot, that is only cosmetic near drivers side rear wheel well. Has not spread beyond small spot. Undercarriage, frame and rest of vehicle are rust free. Current spot can be fixed easily.Paint is okay condition. Regular scuffs for age
This classic 240 "Brick" is one of the last of a dying breed. I had been gradually fixing this and that on it over time - nothing major - and keeping it clean. I've taken her to our local "Coffee and Cars" get togethers and just showed her off. I wouldn't buy her if you just wanted a second car - a Honda Civic might be a better choice for that. I don't know, there's just something about a 240...... Some highlights:Engine tight and smooth runningYearly changeout of oil, filters, plugs, rotor and cap, transmission fluid - top grade synthetic oil used in oil changeNew battery as of 5/30/2015A/C compressor only five years old Has foglights, but they need to be rewiredHas engine heater for cold weatherBrakes good with new brake pistons in rear
