This listing is for a beloved 1993 Volvo 240. The 1993 is the BEST year because it was the LAST YEAR MADE and has the Newer AC system, (which is freezing cold) a drivers Airbag and Anti Lock Brakes. It is in excellent condition for a 1993. I would really like to see it go to a 240 enthusiast or to a person who would like to show it if possible. It has been lovingly cared for and garage kept by the previous owner and by us. I have all the service records. Everything is original including the paint, radio, quarts clock, tape deck, speakers, etc. . We purchased this is from my good friends neighbor in Long Island for my daughter to learn to drive on. They are SAFE TANKS that drive forever if taken care of properly. I had one myself growing up. My father is not able to drive anymore and my daughter would prefer to use his car instead so our Volvo needs to find a new loving home. There are no rips, tears, or stains on the fabric. Non smokers and pets have never been inside of it. All door pockets are accounted for as is the original center console with the rare front and rear cup holders that slide out. There was a custom alarm installed by the Volvo Dealer when the original owner purchased it new. (otherwise you can start these with a screwdriver) I have all the original books/manuals that came with it new, extra light bulbs, fuses and several extra parts, including a brand new lumbar replacement kit from IPD. Things that have been recently replaced (at Volvo's recommendation) are as follows.... Valve Cover Gaskets, Flame Trap Kit, Brand new Tail Light Units with Circuit Boards, (mine started to have small age cracks in them) Throttle Body Gasket, Valve Cover Cap, Elring Seal Cam and Layshaft, New Motor Mounts, Idle Motor Inlet hose, Outlet Hose, Breather Box and Hose, Gskt Cam Cover Gskt Int. MNFD, All New Brake Pads, All new Brembo Rotars, All new Tires, Water Pump, Timing Belt, Fuel Filter, Radiator Fluid Replaced, Oil and filter changed, ALL HOSES AND BELTS, prob. more but can't think of it right now. (over $4500. parts and labor-we wanted it in perfect shape for our daughter) Everything that was suggested to be done was done. There is no rust except a half dollar size on back left near wheel well (see photo) There is also a small scratch on the passenger side front panel (see photo) Other than that nothing sticks out to me. It just has a few nicks on the hood, normal marks for a 21 year old car. One of the front heated seat seems to not work. Other than the heated seat everything is in good working order. The car is in great mechanical order. Before I listed it I took it to Volvo again to have them do a once over and they changed the oil again, cleaned the new flame trap and new fuel filter (wasn't necessary but... They also complimented me saying they haven't seen one this nice in a long time. :-) Please keep in mind that this car is 21 years old...it's not a new or like new car. It is an extremely safe, reliable car that is good on gas. You are not buying a car from a dealer or someone who picked up a 240 at an auction, changed the oil and tires and is selling it.
