In most cases its not the actual damage to the car that causes a vehicle to be salvaged but the circumstances under which they are declared salvage. For example, theft recovered vehicles are always salvaged since they are usually recovered after the owner is paid off by the insurance company. Or the owner might not want the vehicle after going through an accident even if the damages are light and easily repairable such as our cars. Whatever the case is these cars can easily be returned to the streets and that is why they're sold through auctions as repairable vehicles. We have the salvage certificate of title (no-liens) in our possession and it will be re-assigned to the new owner to follow up with their state salvage process. Every state has its own salvage process and its usually filling out some forms and taking the car to an inspection after repairs (if any repairs are needed). Stunning example of a 2006 VW Touareg V-10 diesel. This is a VERY rare car and extremely hard to find with this mileage and condition. These cars were co-developed with Porsche in the making of the Cayenne. The Touareg V-10 diesel was only available in North America from 2004-2007. This car produces in excess of 310 horsepower and more importantly 553 lbs/ft of torque ! This example was imported into Canada from Minnesota by a VW dealer in British Columbia in 2007. It was shipped to Ontario, Canada in December 2011 where it has been owned by a VW enthusiast since that time. It has all the options available for these vehicles including navigation, air suspension, heated steering wheel, rear heated seats and rear seat climate control, 6 CD changer, tow package, wood trimmed interior. This car has been serviced at a VW dealer and is guaranteed to be accident free. It currently has 93,077 documented miles or 149, 854 kilometres. 2011 Volkswagen Touareg TDI diesel sport-utility vehicle. This Touareg is a one-owner vehicle that was purchased new in 2011 (for just under $60,000 with TTL). It has never been in a wreck, and has never been smoked in. The vehicle has spent its life in the south, so there is no rust or corrosion to worry about from salted roads. The vehicle has 79,781 miles on it, and is running excellent. All systems are currently operating as they should be, and all scheduled maintenance has been done. This is the TDI version with the turbo-charged V6 diesel engine, which gets excellent fuel-economy (I've been getting 30 mpg). We are selling the Touareg to get a bigger vehicle for our growing family, probably going to get a Suburban (we are going to miss these mpg's!). I have a clean/clear title in hand, and ready to be transferred to the new owner. The vehicle is located in Paris, Tennessee, which is half-way between Memphis and Nashville (2 hours from each city), and 1 hour north of I-40 (about 20 miles south of the Tennessee/Kentucky state line). I would rate the vehicle at 95% condition, which is pretty good for a four year old vehicle. There are some minor flaws in the exterior, which I've done my best to highlight in the photos and video below. The vehicle is currently running in tip-top shape, but as is the case with all used vehicles, the Touareg is being sold "as-is, where-is", no warranties are expressed, nor implied, and all sales are final. Interested buyers are welcome to come inspect the vehicle in person, and take a test drive if they wish. Please take the time to review the 100 detailed photos that I've included in the auction description, and the 18 minute hi-def video that I included below. For sale is my 2010 Touareg Luxury Limited V6 TDI in Sapphire Blue.It has the 2 tone Black and White interior and every feature that was available on the vehicle at the time.It has the Luxury Limited Package which includes: 2 tone Black and White leather interior with a carbon fibre type looking trim pieces, heated steering wheel, 12-way power adjustable seats, 20-inch wheels, and the factory body colored sport body kit.It has the Premium Technology Package which includes: RNS510 Hard Drive based navigation system, Dynaudio sound system, Bluetooth, Rear Back-up camera, Bi-xenon headlamps, Keyless entry and start, etc...The vehicle also comes with the 4 corner Air suspension.I have owned some very nice vehicles in my time and without a doubt this was the best engineered vehicle I have ever owned or had the privilege to drive. For those who are familiar with these vehicles, you know what a rare gem this one is. I was supposed to sell it last year, but I was doing everything in my power to keep it, but unfortunately I have to get a 3-row seater so she has to go on the market.My local VW dealer has maintained the vehicle since I owned it and she is in excellent condition. I would say near perfect condition. I pride myself in maintaining my vehicles as new as possible.With that said, this vehicle has around 90k miles so it does have some wear and tear although nothing near the amount of miles that it has. Only 3 things of note... The first thing to note is the passenger side rear quarter panel has a small dent in it. My mother was staying me with me at one point and backed her car into mine accidentally. It is barely noticeable unless you are looking right at it and trying to find the dent. This dent can be pulled out, but I never did because it's not really noticeable unless you're looking for it.The other thing to note is the driver side seat has very little signs of use. I only mention this because all the other seats in the car look brand new white and being white seats it was a feat in itself to keep them in this condition. The driver seat is the only one that doesn't look brand new, but again it has very little signs of use. It doesn't take away from the pristine condition of the vehicle. I tried capturing the seat condition in pictures, but it doesn't show up in the pix since it's very minimal. Anybody buying white seats would want to know the condition of the seats I imagine, so I figured I would try my best to explain.And there is a small scratch on the passenger side rear door. Other than the 3 items above, everything else in the car is fully functional. No fault codes or issues whatsoever and she has been very good to me. She still gets 29mpgs on trips and averages about 22mpgs when driven daily (unless my wife is at the wheels then she does 20mpgs ) .Also, she will be needing new tires soon.I have all the keys the vehicle came with, along with the manuals.
