1996 Volkswagen Passat TDI wagon. 5-Speed, Colorado car, never wrecked. 1Z 1.9L Turbo Diesel Engine with 185K , 230K on the body. Current ODO reads 269K, as original was replaced.Runs great, 37mpg in town, up to 49mpg on the highway, 20+ gallon tank, about 1,000 miles between fill-ups if you're driving on the highway. I have all records, even the window sticker from the dealership. I'm the 4th owner. Paint is 4/10 due to pealing, body is 7/10 due to dents and dings.Small exhaust leak, and there is an oil leak currently, but otherwise everything works except the cigarette lighter and fog lights. This is the cliche part where I say "I wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere." But that's totally true. Factory roof rails will support over two hundred pounds of cargo.Less than 1,000 of these '96 & '97 TDI wagons were imported to North America, and they're hard to find in working condition, let alone un-modded, and the wagons sell for well above blue book. I know it might be wacky to put this, however given the rarity and desirability of these wagons, there are shuttles every few hours to Bloomington from IND, as this is home of Indiana University. So if you flew and drove it back, it's like $15 to get from the airport to here. Just saying. :)
