The engine was upgraded with an aftermarket sheetmetal aluminum intake manifold, head studs, and a new multilayer head gasket in preparation for the new Turbonetics T4 turbo and large front mount intercooler. The fuel system has been fitted with 43lb/hr injectors, new Bosch external fuel pump, and new Aeromotive fuel pressure regulator. The exhaust system is full 3" mandrel bent stainless steel, with a Magnaflow muffler. At 16 psi, this car makes approximately 360 horsepower to the front wheels. . This GTI has a full coilover suspension with all new polyurethane bushings,16" lightweight aluminum wheels and BF Goodrich tires. The transmission has been professionally rebuilt and fitted with a diesel fifth gear, new posi differential, short throw shifter, and a 6 puck competition clutch. Car also has Euro style lights, and HID's. Other exterior upgrades include shaved doorhandles, smoothed tailgate, Euro grille and front lip spoiler .Inside, neatly fitted in the das are Auto Meter gauges, trunk mounted battery with extra heavy cables, and Alpine/MB Quart stereo system with amplifier.
