I am the single, original non-smoking owner of this wonderful GTI. After 3 ½ years of happy GTI ownership , I'm looking for a change of pace and will be joining another historical class of vehicle, the Jeep Wrangler. I'm just looking to get a better deal than a trade-in, and want to find a good home for this car that I've honestly loved driving. As a self-admitted car nut, I can tell you this car has been well looked after and is in excellent mechanical condition. When I bought it brand new, the dealership provided the first 3 maintenance visits/oil changes, up to 30,000 miles, and I've made sure to get every oil change done on time (with this VW, you only need oil changes every 10,000 miles, and will be reminded when it's due through the system computer.) The last oil change was at 30,000 miles so there's still 6 months/5,000 miles to go until the next one. No major accidents or work done besides minor cosmetic work to keep it looking new (don't get me started on door dings.) I've worked from home for the entire time I've owned this car, which helps explain the low mileage as there have been a decent amount of days where I didn't drive it at all. Kelley Blue Book gives a "Very Good" condition car a value of $18,263, and an "Excellent Condition" value of $18,632, which is why I think the listed price of $18,200 is more than fair given the addition of bi-Xenon/daytime LED lights as well as window tinting (along with something else I'll mention below). I'm looking to be as fair and transparent with the selling process as possible, and don't want to go through the usual practice of listing way over KBB value (like you'll see from some dealership listings) and negotiating down to the KBB value. I'll be more than happy to hear a good offer, however. As for the payment method, for the security of both the buyer and the seller, as well as the ease in title transfer from the lien holder, I'd like to use an escrow from escrow.com (who are very reputable, and the only escrow company that eBay Motors will allow you to use.) This added security is unfortunately not free (estimated cost for the value of this car/transaction would be $270), but I'm more than willing to pay these fees in full with acceptance of the $18,200 asking price. Buyer will be responsible for delivery fees if applicable.
