Truly, a recognizable shape that has stood the test of time. This 1971 VW Super Beetle Convertible looks, runs and drives excellent! Inside, outside and underneath, this classic is in excellent condition! This car was treated to a full restoration more than 10 years ago and it is still in beautiful condition. The odometer has been replaced, so "true miles are unknown" (TMU), but the title states the car only has a little over 20K miles! The engine fires right up and runs great. The manual transmission shifts perfectly. In 1971, Volkswagen introduced the Super Beetle, featuring a bigger trunk and a coil spring suspension. The car was promoted at that time by Volkswagen as having 89 improvements, including a sixty-horsepower overhead-valve four-cylinder engine. The engine in this Beetle is squeaky clean. The paint looks absolutely beautiful all around the car and the body is solid, straight and free of any rust. The paint is the original color, but not the original paint. The new soft top opens and closes with ease and is in excellent condition inside and out. The exterior chrome bits, badging, wheels, and tires are all in excellent condition. The interior shows almost no signs of wear at all! In fact, this car almost looks like it just rolled off the assembly line!
