Here is a VW Wagon powered by the VR-6 "workhorse" engine coupled with 5-speed manual transmission. At 124k miles the following replaced: timing chains, throw out bearing. Earlier in 2015 the following were replaced: front wheel bearings, center & rear muffler, spark plugs, ignition harness, water pump & starter. Transmission was rebuilt at 139k miles. Newer tires.
