63 Double door panel for sale! I pulled this bus out of junk yard where it sat for 35 years back last december. Me and a restoration shop have done a lot of work on it. Still has a lot of rust tho. What we have done. New 412 Transmission New Axels New Brakes, lines, master cylinder New clutch New alternator New Tie rods New Shocks New gas peddle cable New clutch cable New tail lights New Battery New New fuel lines New dog legs New front pan New battery box and rear corner New A pillars on both sides up front New 2in drop spindles up front New drop plates in there rear New tires Bus has a 1600 motor out of a 68 beetle that runs perfect. Cranks right up, no end play. Has a car trans and axles with no gear reduction boxes. Has the original bus drums up front, type 3 in the rear. Has new tail lights, and new head lights go with it and a new headlight switch. Lights prob need to be rewired. Runs and drives good. Have only drove it about 10 miles since got it back going. Replaced the metal i mentioned above. Still has a lot of rust. Small hole in the roof, couple of holes along roof line on drivers side. Both rockers under rear doors. Back pan is actually really solid due to the belly pans, which only have one or two small holes. Frame is solid as a rock. Drivers rear corner rusty, bottom of nose rusty.Worst rust is the inside bottom of drivers side door, passenger side is rusty too but not quite as bad. Door skins are great, but not the bottom of the frame. Drivers side door needs a new latch. It will not come out and stay shut. One rear cargo door I have not been able to get open. The rest of doors work as they should Great patina ride that will get a LOT of attention as it is, or finish the metal work and have one rare restored bus! This thing has a lot of potential to bring big money restored. I have several other vw's and no more time for this one, more into bugs. I know this bus isn't perfect but it will make an awesome ride for the cruise ins. Located in North alabama. please ask any questions you have. 63 Double door panel in krusty condition. Have had new dog legs, a pillars, front floor pan, rear corner and battery tray installed by a professional vw shop. Has NOS brake pads and wheel cylinders, new master cylinder, new brake lines, fuel lines, Brand new 412 transmission, new tail lights, has new bulbs for the front with it. Motor is a 1600 out of a 68 beetle. Runs good, doesn't smoke or make any noise. End play is good. Bus has 2 1/2 in drop spindles up front, drop plates in the back with no gear reducers. New shocks all the way around. Basically everything mechanical on this bus is brand new with a used motor. It is driveable but still needs a few odd and ends, like have pedal hing welded to the floor pan, lights hooked up, mirrors bought and installed. Have driven around the neighborhood a few times like it is since had it built and it does good. 3 tires are new, one will hold air but is dry rotted and leaks. Great bus to cruise in and turn a lot of heads. Still has some rust as you can see in the pics, frame is solid as it can be, belly pans have little rust in them. Rockers are rusty and passenger side roof line is in some spots. When you open the doors on the back side towards back of bus has some rust, and bottom of inside front doors are very bad. Pictures tell the story. Drivers side door wont stay closed needs new latch and one of the back doors on drivers side won't open latch is frozen shut. Any questions message or txt me, 2567104356. .This isn't your average baja! THis car was fully restored to show quality in 2005, a lot of money was spent and it has several trophies. It is still a very nice car but is showing its age with some paint chips that i have pictured. Fiberglass hood, fenders and rear cowl. Paint is Pearl White and really pops in the sun. Headliner is still like new, carpet and seats look great. Crushed velvet inserts on door panels and seats.Transmission and clutch are great. Has 4 wheel disc brakes on it that stop it perfectly. Tires are like new.Motor is a 1600cc. Motor has a lot of chrome on it. mufflers have a little rust spots on them but not bad. They are not the loudest but they definitely are not quite! Empi valve covers. When it was restored they put all new floor pans in it and they are still in great shape, no rust. heater channels are solid. All of the glass is good, no cracks. Missing the latches on the vent windows.Headlights, tail lights work. Brake lights stopped but have not looked into it.
