This 1991 VW Cabriolet is in beautiful condition with extremely low miles. I'm the 4th owner of the car, and it spent most of its early life in a garage not being driven. I've loved this car dearly, but I'm moving back to Texas and I need a car with A/C, which this car does not have. It's been recently smogged and I had my mechanic give it a once-over this week, so it's good to go! This car is super fun to drive. It's quick, responsive, you can u-turn in the smallest places. The heater is warm when you need it, but it's the most fun to drive when you can put down the drop-top & explore the beauty of the great outdoors. The car is remarkably clean and well kept for being 26 years old. I'm a self-employed artist & didn't have a daily commute, but this car has been reliable for all my errands & deliveries, and always an inspiration to drive. 1967 VW Beetle, 155,000 Original miles, Original Paint (see below). 4 bolt disc brake front end and transmission from 1967 Karmann Ghia. Brand new (rebuilt) 1600cc dual port engine, zero miles. Porsche 914 wheels. Car has been garaged, and not driven, since 1992. Two owner car, second owner purchased in 1971. California car, no rust, all original pan and interior. Runs and drives. I purchased this car in 1971 and drove it until 1992 when it was garaged. Prior to my purchasing the car, it appears the left rear fender and deck lid were repainted, possibly due to minor damage. The car is otherwise all straight and original. Pan is clean, no rust, including the battery area. There are a few non original parts, including the disc brake front end, 4 bolt transmission, additional gauges, shifter, radio. I have some of the original parts, AM radio, heat exchangers, 30 Pict-1 carburetor, dash speaker grill and some other bits. The new rebuilt engine came from Mid America Motor Works, at a cost of over $1600. It was installed just before the listing, and has been tested and run. Clutch is a brand new NOS German F&S.
