Beautifully Restored 1974 Volkswagen Thing Here we have for sale a beautiful restored 1974 VW Thing. This is a very special and rare car that VW made for just a few years. They are rarely seen and they are even more rare to see in this restored condition. Everything is new on the car. The engine is a brand new 1776cc dual carb engine with brand new everything on it. It has brand new baby Weber carburetors. There is a new Thing specific Tri-Mil ceramic coated exhaust on the car. The exhaust is very nice and has a pleasant sound to it. The stock transmission was rebuilt and shifts like new. The car runs like a top and has great power! The car is a nice white which is a rare color for a Thing, they are typically ugly yellow or orange. The paint is all new on the exterior with the interior actually still being the original paint which is amazing. The top is brand new and is very very nice and well made. The wheels, tires, hubcaps, are all new. The front end is all rebuilt and same as the steering. It drives like a new air cooled VW. The brakes stop straight and very well. The interior is all been redone professionally. There are some extra holes drilled in the dash which I have plugged. The seat upholstery is all new and it has a nice carpet kit throughout the car. There is absolutely zero rust through cancer on the car. There is some blemishes and little chips here and there on the paint. There is a little crack in the paint under the gas tank filler neck and in the front end near the front VW emblem. I bought the car restored so I don't know any previous body work that might have been done to the car. I powder coated the original bumpers semi-gloss black. The car has been upgraded to 12v. All of the electrical works besides the windshield wipers and horn. I have never investigated why they don't work. The windshield has pitting in it and has some scratches in it. The car has a recent oil change and valve adjust so that is good. The car is ready to cruise and have a blast in, the complete heating system is original and fully functional. This is the regular heating system like in all old Volkwagens, not the gas heater that they offered in 1973. I have a set of original windows that go in the doors but they will need to be rebuilt with new plexiglass because the originals are cracked and broken. I did my best to describe the VW to the best of my ability but I can not guarentee anything because I was not the one who restored the car and I do not know the full history of it. The car is not perfect but still looks great and you can show the car and drive it too! It's nice enough to appreciate and just have a blast with. It's not fun when a car is too nice to drive because you are afraid of what might happen in public, rock chips, door dings, etc. There is still minor work to be done to be a very very nice restored car but it wouldn't take much, paint touch up, etc. You can drive the car home if you wanted. Don't miss out on this super rare and unique VW. This car is a beauty and turns heads everywhere it goes. I have a clean and clear Nevada title for the car. Restored 1966 Volkswagen BugHere we have for sale a nice restored 1966 Volkswagen bug. This is a gorgeous bug that has been all gone through, from new paint, new interior, new engine, and new rubber. It is a great bug that is fun and reliable to drive. You can't get more reliable then a brand new 1600cc single port with a new Solex carburetor and 12v electrical system. The bug has a complete brand new interior, everything is new from the seat covers, door panels, carpet and floor mats. The headliner was installed from a professional upholstery shop. The rubber mats match what this bug would have in it stock from the factory. The steering wheel was painted and a brand new German turn signal switch was put on the car. The window rubber is brand new and same is the trim. The window rubber was installed by a professional window installation company who does it properly and glues the rubber so their are no leaks. The bumpers are brand new euro style bumpers. The fenders are all new replacement fenders. The front turn signals are the early peanut style blinkers that are brand new too. The tail light lenses are new. All of the chrome body trim is new. The roof rack is a genuine Volskwagen bug rack from the 60's. It's a very rare and hard to find rack that I had chromed and it looks awesome on top of the bug. It is not a reproduction, but a true accessory from back in the day. The engine is a newly built 1600cc single port engine that runs perfect and drives amazing. The engine purs like a kitten and sounds nice. The engine tin is all new and has been painted. The electrical system has been upgraded to 12v and an alternator. The carburetor is new and same as the distributor and coil. The transmission shifts smoothly and the clutch was replaced when the engine was built. The wheels are new chrome wide Porsche style rims with new chrome VW hubcaps. The brakes have all be gone through and the bug stops firmly and quickly. The headlights and both front and rear turn signals all work. The brake lights and dome light inside works. The horn and windshield wipers don't work though. I'm guessing they were not converted to 12v. The bug also has brand new running boards and stainless trim on the body too. There is some rust in the heater channels both in the front and back and some repairs to the floor in the back on both sides. The paint is new on the car but is does have some chips and scratches in it. There is also some minor dings in the body here and there. It's a nice quality driver bugs that you could go to shows with. It's not a perfect restoration but it looks good and would be perfect for the guy or girl who wants a nice clean driver bug.
