Best vehicle I have ever owned! Very reliable! The 5-speed manual makes all the difference compared to the automatic transmissions offered in similar models! I am the 2nd owner for over ten years! Have always maintained it with everything the dealer (or my independent mechanic) recommended! Runs great. Very perky and handles like a sports car! The A/C stopped working and I spent $1,350 with the VW Dealer and installed a new "blower and dryer" as they recommended. The, it stopped working again and they say it needs an EVAPORATOR. Dealer refused to honor their repair warranty, so I will sort it out with them legally! I have decided to sell the wagon at a discount, because of the added A/C expense and purchase a new Jetta Sportswagon! This wagon runs like a champ, can't say enough good stuff about it! If you can live without A/C, this wagon is the perfect daily driver! Disappointed I had difficulty with the dealer. They should have diagnosed the A/C problem correctly in the beginning, but now it has resorted to bad feelings and my wanting to buy a new car NOT FROM THEM! PRICED TO SELL!
