carzncoke Store 1966 - VOLKSWAGEN DELUXE BUS 1966 - VOLKSWAGEN DELUXE BUS We are offering for your consideration a Nice, Old 1966 VW Deluxe Bus. This bus has had a repaint and the seats have been recovered. The Deluxe VW Bus was last registered in 1975. Sometime during 1975 the Volkswagen Bus was put in a body shop where it received its paint job. The rocker panels needed attention, they were replaced before the paint. The body shop did not replace the inner rocker panels; only the outer. This Volkswagen Bus was then put in a storage shed; where it sat for the last thirty five (35) years. We purchased the car and reassembled it in the late summer early fall of this year, 2014. During reassembly, the fuel tank was cleaned and a new fuel pump installed. The battery was replaced. The engine was tuned up. The brake system was gone through, resulting in: new wheel cylinders, new brake shoes, new rear hoses, and a new master cylinder. At this point the car runs and drives good; however, it does need a new muffler. The wipers, radio, speedometer and signals work as they should. The headliner has some holes. A few of the window locks are broken. This is a nice, little bus that could be used, "As Is". There are not many good ones left; and the good ones surviving, are commanding high prices. The speedometer reads 12,870 miles; however, could have been around once. We have no documentation of any kind to support an actual miles statement. The car has a Clear, Clean Title. Following the sale: The successful "winning" bidder must telephone us within 24 hours after the auction has ended to verify purchase and make arrangements to complete the transaction. A deposit of $500.00 must be received within 24 hours of auction's close; unless other arrangements have been made. Deposits are refundable if the vehicle does not meet the description or the inspection presents problems that buyer and seller cannot come to terms on. Full payment must be received within 7 business days of the end of auction. Payment must be either by cashiers-check, cash (In Person) or by bank wire transfer. If funds are not received, and an alternate arrangement has not been made, the vehicle can and will be made available to other potential buyers on a first-come, first-serve basis. Vehicle Inspections: We recommend that all buyers conduct an inspection either in person or through a qualified professional third party inspector prior to the end of the auction. If such inspection shows the vehicle to not be as we described; we will try to work out or remedy problems. If we cannot come to terms; buyer is not required to complete the transaction. We expect all inspections to be completed before the auction's close or within 5 days of auctions end.
