For sale by owner is a 2003 Volkswagen VW MK4 Jetta GLS TDI (diesel). This is the top of the line GLS TDI, fully loaded, and it's in very good condition. This is a RARE 5-speed manual transmission (stick shift) which gives you a LOT more MPG than the 4-speed auto for the same vehicle. I've been getting 50-52 mpg going at ~75 mph. TDIs have very high torque early; very performant. It is also much more comfortable to drive than a Prius or any other highly efficient cars (except Tesla maybe lol), and does not have battery or EMFs. Original California TDI means no road salt/rust. The year 03 is the last year VW TDI was allowed in California before clean diesel was required, and because of that this TDI can run bio-diesel and can be more easily/readily enhanced to run on veggie oil. 259k highway miles due to long commute and vacation/holiday trips. Nothing for these engines - they are well known for going to 400-500k miles. COMPLETE service records including the window sticker from brand new.
