Hi, for sale is a 1996 Volkswagen Jetta GL. Low miles for the year.Selling As-is and will need to be smogged so price is discounted. Registration is paid until October 2017.Car has had a moderate amount of mechanical work done on it including brand new drivers side mirror, New Catalytic converter, New heater core replaced, New rear wheal bearing and brakes. New rear wheel brake cylinder replaced, tinted windows(medium). Fluid changes and full synthetic oil changes.No check engine light or dash light on but the windshield wipers and climate control fan don't work. All lights and turn signals do work. I was told by a mechanic that is due to ignition switch wiring job repair from previous owner and has a push button starter. Car is spec'd out and has working automatic moon-roof, dual air bags and alarm. Car runs nice and will include original manual book. Tires were brand new only about 7,000 miles ago and have a lot of tread left.(have receipts for almost everything).Car also has original small spare tire and tool kit. It has been well cared for but does have some damage to rear drivers side door and fender. Also included is extra brake pads for left rear drum brake that have not been installed yet and heat shield for passing smog that was sourced for the car.Nothing wrong with engine or transmission except the engine has a very slow external coolant leak. Interior is fairly nice 7/10. Buyer must have driver's licence and cash in hand for test drive. Pink slip in hand. Local Pick-up Only!

I have owned the van for a year and a half, and have done $8,000 worth of repairs. It has had a tank out fuel system repair, all gaskets and seals, new alternator, starter,muffler and catalytic converter, cv joints. Tires are six months old.Interior is very clean except for the vinyl pealing off the ceiling and side panels. It had air conditioning but the compressor and condenser were removed. I have original dealer invoice and years of receipts. Vehicle runs but only a third of the throttle.I had it looked at, at Bus Lab of Berkeley and they determined that it had a vacuum leak at the intake manifold, worn throttle body, and they say they hear a rod knocking.Basically it it needs the engine rebuilt. It has very little rust and body damage, see pictures. Tent is good, and comes with new seal kit for top. It is a great deal for a mechanically inclined enthusiast. Pick up only, will not ship.Payment due at pickup.
