Great for a first time buyer! This is a fun way to get from point A to point B; especially during the summer time! I just recently bought a 2016 Volkswagen so this one is no longer needed. This car is in pretty fair condition especially due to its age. I recently just put in a new battery, whole new transmission & and a new catalytic converter ; I have my receipts for proof. Now this car does need a new start up; also it overheats. Now I have already took it to the mechanics and it really doesn't need that much work~ it just needs a little love! it also has minor problems, the locks are really slow and the convertible top doesn't work as of now it is manual. Other then those things this car is fair and it is worth a buy! it has alloy rims, leather seats, seat warmers, a tape aux cord to plug into your phone for your music, good millage ( 20 bucks fill the tank), it also has a top cover for the convertible top which is an accessory, and i have also added sporty blue & black seat covers & it also comes with a steering wheel cover, also seat belt covers that are all blue and black. 1991 Volkswagen Cabriolet Convertible. Inspected through July. 100k mi. It starts right up and runs great. It is surprisingly powerful for a 4 cyl. There is a slight belt squeal, which my brother says is the alternator belt. There is A/C and it works but when you turn it on it seems to bog the engine down. The front windows are power and don't work but, thankfully the top does (it was replaced a few years ago). The back windows are crank style and work. The dash is in great condition with no cracks, etc. All gauges work. The back seat is also in great condition with no tears or discoloration but the front seats are weathered from the sun. It was hit on the right side (as you can see in pics) and the passenger door was replaced. The inside arm rest isn't on but I do have it. The carpets need re attached. I think the previous owner replaced it but didn't actually attach the carpet - lovely. A local garage I took it to for oil change said there is no rust at all underneath. There are only a few small spots of rust except for where it was hit. The right rear axle is bent but the garage where I had a lot of work done says it isn't dangerous - you will just go through tires quicker in the back then you normally would. I do have two of the center caps but they're not on because the tire shop I went to when I first got it didn't tighten the bolts enough and one by one they flew off.
