Hello and welcome to the program!   Take a look at this VW Baja Bug! This car was built with no expense spared! This car is 100% ready to hit any trail, set of dunes or Sunday car show! This Bug needs nothing! This is not a project! This is a turnkey Baja Bug!    This Baja bug started life as a 1964 VW Beetle. Then a 1967cc Stroker Engine with dual Webber Carbs was added! Mated to that Powerful Power plant was a totally rebuilt transaxle and Cluth with a heavy duty pressure plate and throw out bearings. All the electrical wiring and harness is brand new with a majority of the wires being run through the frame and or body to prevent being hung up wile off roading.  Factory heat tubes in place and are functional.  The engine was built by a professional VW performance shop in San Francisco California.  The air scoop is functional, front axle was upgraded to disk brakes and the entire car sits on gas shocks.  Every gauge in the dash is functional, new off road tires and chrome wheels.  The moon roof works but requires a little help from time to time.  The restoration took 2 ½ years to complete and the engine has about 550 miles on it.  This Baja took second place at the Bugorama show in San Francisco last year! The Baja Bug will leave about a fifty cent spot of oil on the ground after sitting, known problem with all bugs.  This is the one you’ve been waiting for! I am selling my 1974 Volkswagen Super Beetle. This is a really gorgeous, well maintained, always garaged, non-smoking example. Start, runs, and drives great. This car is a real head turner. This is an Arizona car, very solid! I have a notarized clear Arizona title in hand. Exterior The car has a beautiful (factory correct) VW Phoenix Red paint - Super shiny! ( In fact, I had to wait for the clouds to move in to take some of the pictures because the new chrome was just too shiny for my camera). There is a small crack in the paint on the hood - it's not really noticeable, I just wanted to be honest and disclose it. All the chrome is in excellent condition, all exterior rubber are new. All the glass is good, no cracks not chips. The gas tank has been cleaned, and all new gas lines installed. All vapor lines are new as well. New chrome strips, new exterior chrome door handles, no vent window trim and window chrome. The tail pipes are also brand new. Some with matching keys to door handles. All the lights, tail lights, break lights, etc. work perfect. Here are the few minor things that I know are not working: Window wash sprayer, and the heaters. (Here is Arizona we don't really use that feature). Interior The interior has been totally overhauled. I had all the seats professionally re-upholstered, and the entire car re-carpeted. Installed a brand new head-liner. The dashboard is in excellent condition, no tears, no cracks. The steering wheel has been re-done with hand-stitched vinyl to match the interior. Door panels, handles, and all knobs and window cranks are new. I went through all the electrical components, they all work perfect. The previous owner removed the "seatbelt, etc, warning circuits" so the car won't make that annoying buzzing sound when you open the door or when you don't click on your seatbelt. New shift boots, new chrome side and interior mirrors. All door and window seals, including the vent window are also brand new. Terms I described the car to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please remember that you are purchasing a 40 year old car. If there is something that is material to you and have been left out of the description, please ask.
