In the future, it may need an adjustment with pad replacement. The emergency brake is, of course, functional. Replaced all rubber with urethane in the front end suspension and added new bumpstops in the rear. Sitting on a topline adjustable versa strut kit with stock height sport springs for a nice ride even at extreme low.New tires all around: stock tires in rear, smart car tires in front, port-a-wall whitewall inserts and a full-size new whitewall spare. Interior:-New seats, door cards and headliner-- all TMI products-New foam seat padding, new TMI carpet kit inside, front trunk and rear window area-Lots of little details throughout the cabin to give the feeling of a late 60's hot rod-All of the electronics work: lights, turn signals, wipers, highbeams, hazards and horn-Car has heat in the cabin-Professionally installed stereo system, 1100 w amp and a 400 w amp to power two 4', two 6x9's and a 10' flat sub.-The head unit is a bluetooth hands free one but has giving me an error message lately. I will address this before closing. Exterior:-Satin matte black paint. The car’s original color was Clementine Orange, then red at some point.- New rubber seals all the way around with older 60's bumpers, functional foglamps, pop out windows. -Custom black vanity plate and roof rack. (I have the original year bumpers to go with the car and other miscellaneous parts.) History and overall condition:I am the third owner of the car, purchased in Sacramento 4 years ago. I have been restoring and driving it ever since. Before that, the car was located in Chico with the original owner. It has a clear title.Pans are rust free, though the driver side door hinge will need some attention. I live less than half a mile from the beach-- any exposed metal or cheap chrome will rust. Though I diligently keep up with prevention, occasional small rust bubbles happen in the rear near the corner vents. (An issue with all VW Beetles that possess said vents.)I have addressed the small rust bubbles, but internal foam insulation needs to be removed to prevent the rust from returning. Otherwise the car is solid and free of rust. Over the years, I invested over $11,000 into the vehicle. She drives well and is a real head-turner! Though not my daily driver, for the last year I have been taking the car on longer cruises and VW car club functions and shows. This car would be a perfect first air-cooled car for the younger VW fan. All of the heavy lifting has been done, and she’s ready to roll! Payment and shipping:Buyer is responsible for shippingLocated in San Francisco Bay AreaI will accept a Paypal deposit, but require cash or certified check paid in full to release title. This is non-negotiable. Thank you for looking and please feel free to email me with your reasonable offer.

I am happy to offer this beautifully restored Vw convertible. The restoration was based on an original owner, absolutely rust free and ACCIDENT FREE car!! The car lived the majority of it's life in the Texas desert, then later made it's way to the desert again, in Tucson. The car has recently been acquired from it's second owner and has been in San Francisco for less than a month. The body is as rust free and straight as they come! At the beginning of the restoration, it had one ding in one fender, and was all original paint. All papers are included from the dealership forward, document that it is original numbers matching, and that the low mileage is absolutely original. During the restoration the engine was completely gone through and upgraded so the build will last a lifetime. The crankshaft was counterweighted and balanced, Original German heads installed, as well as German bearings, Gene berg oil pump and full filter oiling system, etc. Such a huge list I won't bother here, feel free to call and I can tell all of the details, simply put, all the highest quality parts! Consider this a brand new old Vw, built to the quality standards of a new Mercedes. Professionally restored by a #1 restoration house, The Volkstop. This is of the highest quality restoration! The car was built to amazing standards with Mercedes canvas top material, German wool carpeting, completely rebuilt original Bosch fuel injection, a blue printed and balanced engine, etc. The Bug has absolutely no bondo or rust. Paint was done as a completely stripped down shell and painted with German brand paint, Spies Hecker. All parts of the car were removed, other than the frame and suspension, for the restoration. Doors completely emptied, wiring pulled, bumpers, fenders off, the whole 9 yards! This is a car worthy of a museum. If you are a person wanting the best, the highest quality build, that will give you more reliability than a factory new 1978 Vw ever could(due to updates and higher quality materials), this is the car that you have been waiting for! This car is a very sound investment. It is a top tier car and will always stand out. It is built and is ready to go into service in your household as a brand new car would, or for collectors, be the new prize of your garage! The value of restoration alone is around $60k. Hagerty valuations show typical high for a number 1 car, such as this, as being ~$36k range. I am open to offers and also possible partial trades as I am looking for specifically an unrestored Porsche 911, 912, or 356 as my next project. Please feel free to call or text with any questions or inquiries(general Vw/Porsche chat or tech talk is welcome!) 650-863-796nine Located in San Francisco Mission, off of Valencia. Thanks! Christopher Please note; Buyer is responsible for shipping costs. I will deliver to the port of Oakland for $100. Payment must be made within 3 days and vehicle pickup within 5. I am happy to assist with shipping arrangements as I have carriers whom I often work with, however, shipping is ultimately the buyers responsibility. Please feel free to ask any questions. This Bug will make the new owner very happy for years to come!!
