THIS IS A NO RESERVE Fixed Price Make an Offer AUCTION!!! THIS is the LAST year of the Spitfire. A nice example in White with Saddle Top and Houndstooth check cloth interior. Original owner bought this car NEW in 1979 for his late wife. I am the second owner but currently have original Title. I have ALL maintenance records, Original Bill of Sale, Dealer Paperwork, ALL receipts, Window Sticker, Owners Manual, etc.. Spare tire never out of the trunk. Included are the original floor mats (in the trunk), Tonneau Cover and Convertible boot. Needs a few minor items, radio antenna, wiper blades, smokes a little but has been sitting a while. I drove it yesterday, about 60 miles, a joy! but starts, runs strong, drives. This car is 37 years old and NOT restored. So expect normal wear and tear, but the interior is in good shape, drivers seat worn, tear in top of console, one small crack in dash pad. Has been running Antique Tags and driven occasionally for years. Garage kept until the last month. 4 cylinder 1500 engine, 4 speed transmission, FACTORY AM/FM radio (works but needs antenna) Factory striping (red, white, blue). With a little work a shade tree mechanic could make a fine rally or local show car with this original survivor car. Very little rust in lower rear fenders not through just surface. Original Factory Paint shines! Glass is good! Everything electronic working when I parked it yesterday!LOW LOW RESERVE!!! For your consideration is 1975 Triumph TR6 with less than 84,000 original miles. Since purchasing the car, the interior has been refurbished with newly upholstered seats, new carpeting, heat shield\sound deadening on the floors and new seat belts. The trunk has been updated as well, with a new panel kit just recently installed. A new convertible top with a zip-out rear window was recently fitted and is accompanied by a boot\ half-tonneau. The car was recently treated to a fresh paint job which accentuates the lines of the car nicely. Mechanically the car runs well and is fitted with correct "redline" tires. If you follow the TR6 market, you know that these cars have been increasing in desirability and value over the past several years. As such, this example is fairly priced at $13,750 given the work that has been recently completed. Nicely restored, rust free 1980 Triumph TR7 in the perfect British roadster color combo. I have a 10-car car collection and I'm selling a few of my cars this month to make room in the garage for some new additions this spring. My collection leans mostly to Saabs and Volvo's so the Brits are the ones leaving. I purchased this TR7 from a "Triumph guy" (he had 5 Triumph's in his collection) a couple of years ago. To be brutally honest, I remember when these first came out in the 1970's and I thought they were ugly. Since then the look has kind of grown on me and after reading a great story about a road trip in one in Sports & Exotic car magazine, I had to have one. I was quite surprised at how comfortable a driver they are...the 5-speed transmission makes it a practical car for around town and on the highway. And for the price- in my book the TR7 is THE best value anywhere for a European roadster. 78,000 original miles2.0 Litre 4 cylinder engine with 5 speed manualbeautiful bare metal single stage repaint of the original Brooklands Green colornew interior in autumn leaf with Triumph plaid replacement door panelsdash has no cracks but I also have a custom dash cover to protect it from sunlightNew (purchased last year) minilite style wheelscomplete set of the original wheels, caps and bolts in excellent conditionnew batteryprevious owner swapped out original single carb for twin weberselectric fuel pumpa/c (currently disconnected and not functional- I have never investigated why but assume it needs more than just a charge)good topgood tiresall gauges work except the clockstarts right up every time and runs great My cars are babied. All of them are always garaged, under a cover and on a trickle charge when not being driven. This is a no-nonsense, no-issues, honest and affordable British roadster that would fit right in at the next car show. In person inspections are encouraged. No guarantees, sold as-is.

1978 Triumph Spitfire, owned, babied and always kept garaged by two classic car collectors for the past 15 years. Not a show car but an excellent driver. I've taken it to several car shows over the years and it fits right in with the best of them. Always stored inside under a cover. Never driven in rain. 71,300 original miles4-speed, no overdriverare Brooklands green original Triumph colorfolder of parts and service receipts going back to the original ownerTriumph Spitfire shop manual and original owners manualzero oil leaks (yes, you read that right)Brakes, oil change, tune-up and transmission rear seal replaced this fallDual Monza Exhaustset of 5 Australian Superlite wheels with Potenza tiresnice tan houndstooth cloth interiororiginal carpet in good shape with Triumph rubber floor matsWood dash in excellent conditiontop is good with zip out rear windowall gauges work including speedo and odometeroriginal single SU carb converted to twin SU'ssmall chip and crack in windshield but replacement windshield is includedminor rust spots in dog legs repaired and painted. (amateur job but it's located in an area not visible unless you get down low and look)clean trunk with new spare and original tools in bagnewer battery, always on a trickle charge when not drivenlarge box with hundreds of $$ of assorted new parts, filters, plugs etc come with the car Runs great and the Monza exhaust has a growl that belies it's 1500 engine. It has an am-fm cassette deck but trust me, you'll never listen to it with the way this car sounds. I have 12 collector cars and will be selling my two Triumph's this winter. The other is a beautiful 1980 TR7 convertible in the same Brooklands green color- feel free to contact me if interested. Only selling to clear garage space for some spring shopping. Also for sale locally. Sold "as-is" and no warrantees or guarantees are given or implied. I have done my best to describe the overall condition of this car as I know it. I'm not a mechanic and I don't work on my cars, so while I will be happy to try and answer any questions, I am limited in my mechanical knowledge- I always have my collector cars serviced by a local European car specialist. Personal inspections are encouraged. I am located in Earlysville, Va., only a few miles from the Charlottesville, Va. airport.

We are pleased to offer 1968 Triumph TR 250 s/n 4494-L, from new in black with red leather, black top, air conditioning. Nicely restored by Triumph guru Dennis Wilson. Visually identical to the Michelotti styled TR4, the TR 250 was only built for 13 months between August 1967 to September of 1968 by the Triumph Motor Company and so is amongst the last of the iconic pre-rubber-bumper, pre-smog pump, non-catalyst British sports cars. Triumph long occupied the middle market in the British sports car hierarchy as bigger, faster, more sophisticated and more prestigious than MGs, but not quite at the level of the Jaguars. On the track Triumph was a class dominator, with the 1966 Triumph TR4As placed 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in class at the 1966 12 Hours of Sebring. While the TR 250 was built exclusively for the US market, many rust-free and damage-free US market cars found their way to overseas markets in the last few decades. 8,400 TR 250s were built but it is thought that only 600 TR 250s remain worldwide today with the majority of those in Europe. The TR 250 was the low-cost yet high-performance sports car of its era, thanks to its 115 hp, 2.5 litre (150 cubic inch) straight-six engine, giving a 0–60 mph time of 10.6 seconds and a top speed of 120 mph backed up with a great exhaust sound and a fully-independent suspension. Standard equipment also included front disc brakes, rack and pinion steering and the nicely-spaced and smooth shifting four speed gearbox. With a list price of $3,395 for a new TR 250 plus another $118 for wire wheels and another $395 for the then-rare option of air conditioning, the TR 250 was the affordable weapon of choice for a generation of enthusiastic, open sports car loving baby-boomers.Because they were popular, plentiful and passionately driven, few Triumph TR 250s survive undamaged or unmodified. 1968 Triumph TR 250 s/n 4494-L is a rust-free, damage-free Arizona car that was restored to its original colors and condition by Dennis Wilson of Wilson Motors of Washington, Missouri only two years ago. As confirmed by the Heritage certificate, TR 250 s/n 4494-L is a matching numbers car and was built on 10 April, 1968 and shipped to Standard Triumph Iberica S.A. Bilbao, Spain, the Spanish Triumph importer. Delivered new with a heater, black tonneau cover, 185 x 15 Goodyear redband tires, a mph speedometer and air conditioning as a dealer installed extra. As a US spec car it was probably sold new to a US serviceman based at the US Air Force SAC base at Torrejon (near Madrid) in Spain. The Triumph Motor Company officially offered only six colors from new, New White with black or red; Triumph Racing Green with red, black or tan; Signal Red with black; Jasmine Yellow with black or tan; Royal Blue with black or blue and Valencia Blue with black or tan making the black with red on TR 250 s/n 4494-L a very rare and attractive special-ordered color combination. The dealer installed A/C is a unique and user-friendly option.TR 250 s/n 4494-L shows well, with excellent panel fit, near new high quality paintwork and obvious attention to detail in the restoration. All chrome, trim and lenses are excellent. The interior presents extremely well, with near new upholstery and carpets. The dashboard is equally nice, with excellent dash pad, instruments, and switches. The dash face wood appears as new and was redone with the correct level of gloss. The engine compartment is extremely clean, having been fully restored when the car was apart. The inner fenders and firewall are extremely clean, as is the engine itself. It is nicely detailed and reflects the quality and thoroughness of the restoration. The underbody and all inner panels are finished in their original black paint, the suspension and brakes were recently rebuilt, and the spare is a new and correct chrome wire. The car is a joy to drive. It is an exceptionally solid example with none of the rattles that typically characterize the British sports car experience. The motor is potent yet still tractable with none of the peakiness or raggedness that characterizes hot-rodded motors and all the controls, gauges and switches work as they should. The transmission shifts very well and the suspension and steering are tight. Comes with an original owner’s manual, a new knock-off hammer, the correct wire wheel spare, its framed heritage certificate and it still carries the original body data tag confirming the unique color combination. If you would like more information about this vehicle please feel free to give Larry a call at (540) 748-2016

A Rare Find—a Frame-off Restored TR 250 with a Surrey Top The Triumph TR 250 was a limited production car that has become a rarity among classic cars. Finding a nice example is hard to do (of those built it is estimated that fewer than 600 remain) but finding a totally restored [frame-off] TR 250 with a Surrey Top is a rare find indeed. Great Looking · Paint and Chrome Resprayed in its original Signal Red, this car’s finish looks like new as one would expect for a car with a frame-off restoration. The chrome is extremely nice as is the stainless trim. · Surrey Top This TR 250 has the optional Surrey Top, with the removable vinyl insert, that likewise looks new. The Surrey Top is a much sought-after accessory, providing additional occupant protection should it be needed. The “targa-style” top gives the car a stylistic flare that is unmatched by the other TRs. · Interior The Black interior upholstery, complete with piping, was all redone and looks like new. The door panels are excellent as is the carpeting. The dash has the upgraded wood veneer finish and all of the instruments are in excellent cosmetic and operational condition. There is a Tourist Trophy wood-rimmed steering wheel to complete the interior finishes. · Engine The TR 250 has the 2.5 liter 6 cylinder engine as opposed to the four cylinder engine that powered the TR 4. The engine was rebuilt during the car’s restoration. · Transmission The four-speed fully synchromesh transmission operates correctly and makes this car a pleasure to drive. · Chassis The underside of this TR 250 is free of any visible rust or corrosion. · Safety and Comfort features The car has front disc brakes, independent rear suspension and rack and pinion steering, all of which contribute to the feeling of stability and to the car’s safety. Three point seat belts provide for additional passenger safety. All of the safety and accessory features work—lights, turn signals, wipers, (the horn will need a bit of attention), etc. All of the instruments are nicely set off with a wood dash and is complemented by the Tourist Trophy wood-rimmed steering wheel. The car is equipped with 185R15 Redline tires mounted on 4 Dayton stainless steel wire knock-off wheels. (The original painted wire wheels and the convertible top/frame will also convey with the car.) There is the optional luggage rack mounted on the trunk and a badge bar mounted on the front. An Extremely Nice Example of a Rare British Sports Car This is a TR 250 that has no “issues”. It looks, performs and excites like it did back in 1968 when it came to U.S. showrooms. Equipped with the Surrey Top option, Redline tires on Dayton stainless knock-off wire wheels and chrome luggage rack, it is an impressive car at the cruise-ins, British car shows or just driving around your home town. And, given its rarity, you will be driving a car that has great appreciation potential. FOR MORE INFORMATION PLEASE CALL US AT: 540-370-4474 OUR BUYER SATISFACTION POLICY: If as the winning bidder you PERSONALLY come to our facility before the post-auction 7-day payment/pickup time expires, inspect the car and determine for ANY reason that you do not want to buy this car, we will cancel the sale and return your deposit less $100 to cover our time and expense for relisting and you will have no further obligation. This is our assurance to you that the vehicle is all that you expected when you entered your winning bid.

I've owned this car for close to 30 years. It has been garaged and not been on the road for the majority of that time. I removed the engine and transmission. There is no engine or transmission included in this sale, and I do not have an engine. The car originally had a manual transmission. A radiator and the power steering pump are included. There was originally air conditioning, but most of those parts were removed before I bought the car. The interior needs to be cleaned, but it mostly solid, with the exception of one panel on the driver's seat. The car has minimal rust. The rust that is present is located primarily in the lips of the front fenders, and a small spot under the clutch master cylinder where it probably leaked. All glass is good. Convertible top frame is included. I can include a new convertible top (uninstalled) for an additional $250. This car is an excellent base for a project.

1972 Triumph TR6 A 40 plus year old car that has not been restored. Restore or spend very little and start enjoying it. This is a 1972 Triumph TR6 Project with tons of potential. The cars is very solid. (better than most with very little rust). I do not know how old the paint is but as you can see it still looks pretty good. The car has around 85,000 miles and I do believe it is original. The car still has a 1981 Virginia inspection sticker in the windshield!I have started putting new carpet in it but have not finished it. (The remaining pieces are included). The interior is in pretty good shape and I believe will cost very little to make nice. I have a new convertible top that is also included. The car starts right up, shifts fine, but needs brake work. (e-brake works fine). The exhaust looks good. It has redline tires but I have no idea how old they are. I also am including a replacement wood dash. The underbody looks good also to be over 40 years old. I believe this is an easy project, that deserves to be restored, and I believe can be readied to enjoy quickly. ******This car is not road ready and needs work to be thereThese cars are going up in value quickly. I have clear title. Ask questions before bidding. Sold as is. No warranty implied. Thanks for looking.

Bought this car 6 years ago due to its rust free nature. It was garage kept for 15 yrs prior to my purchase and mostly garage kept since my ownership. Engine was shot and so, since I had spent 15 yrs of my life fighting a British engine, I decided to put a 1995 Miata 1.8L 16v DOHC 4 cyl, 5 speed transmission, and computer (fun) in it. It fit fairly easily....except the wiring job. Seems Mazda used a Mk3 Spitfire as the template for the Miata...go figure. I have been driving the car for 5 yrs with little problem. Only major issue was the pinion bearing in the rear end went out and so I rebuilt the rear end. I have 3 other project cars and this one needs to go so I can start on one of them. In the attached pictures you will see the few paint chips and ugliness, and some of the new stuff. Below is a comprehensive list of everything I can think of to tell you. This is a used car and thus no warranty but considering the nature of the car and the fact that I built it myself, I will give continued tech support for the life of me, you, or the car...whichever ends first. I will even help you do repairs if you want to do them yourself. I have an upholstery shop/garage. Sounds too good to be true but I enjoy sleeping at night and hate nasty phone calls....and i'll miss the little guy.Engine: 1995 1.8L 16v DOHC 4cyl.Transmission: 1995 Miata 5 Speed ManualMileage: Car=Approx. 50k. (All new parts installed within the last month)Rebuilt Stuff: Clutch Master Cylinder, Rear DifferentialGoodies: 35+ MPG, Quick, Power Windows, Power Door Locks, Electric Fuel Pump and Filter Located Behind Panel in Trunk for Easy Access, No Fluid Leaks, Clean Title, One of a Kind, Featured on Jalopnik.com for the Engine Conversion, Strong Heater, Life-Time Tech Support, Interstate-worthy (High Top Speed, Umph, and Easy vehicle Passing, The enjoyment of owning a classic british convertible without the worries of spending beautiful weekends on unexpected repairs, getting stuck on back roads in the middle of the night, or wondering if it will even start this time.Needs: Paint and Bumpers. You could get away without it for a while. Paint looks great at first glance but closer inspection reveals scratches and chips. Estimates I have gotten for going a completely different color range between 500 (Maaco) and 2300. The guy who painted my car still has some of the blue left over and is willing to cover and buff the scratches and chips if you desire to keep this color. Chrome bumpers from the 1979 and earlier can be fitted with little modification.Issues: Light smoke and valve ticking on start-up if its sat for a while. This is due to there not being any oil in the valve area after sitting a while, and possibly a bad piston ring. I had thought the valve seals would fix it, and they did mostly, but if it sits for a long time it smokes for a minute. No radio. Cant hear it anyway and without some modifications there is nowhere to put the speakers unless you want 4 inch ones in the doors.... Antenna is there and run to the radio slot if you want to do it.Possibly rust bubble but most likely bondo bubble. There is a seam between the hood assembly and fender assembly but when it was painted that seam was filled in with bondo...now its bubbling from, I assume, water getting in the back side of the seam.So that's about it. I've stated everything I can possibly think of. This car has to go bye-bye. I have other projects waiting. Come get it! Lots more pics at http://blacksburg.craigslist.org/cto/4626743824.html
