Price reduced and description revised.(so if you've looked in the past please read) I will not consider offers under $4000 and even then I'm loosing money on this great car. I purchased the car from Merit Cars in New York in 2011, it was bought with the intent of restoring it, however divorce has seen the car moved around twice now and kept in storage and I just don't have the time or money to work on it anymore. I'd rather see it go to someone who has the resources to get another one of these beauties back on the road. I've driven it several times and it impresses me and still gets thumps up in its non-restored state. Here's what I know:Vehicle runs strong. Engine has dual Weber DGV Carbs. NO OVERDRIVE (Never had it).Looks like the vehicle came from Indiana so probably dealt with snow, I have photos of the rusted areas that I can email if requested. I made the mistake of using the term "lots of rust" in the previous listing and that really is not the case, there are some areas that are bad (rocker panels), but the car is actually in really decent rust-free shape.(once again, I do have the photos of problem areas and of the undercarriage I can send)Heater system needs to be replaced.Brakes either need bleeding or replacing.Convertible Top Needs Replacing (tears in the "windows")Features:Removable Hard Top in great shape.(all glass intact)EXTRAS: I have around $300 worth of special order books for the car: Triumph TR6 Repair Operation Manual (Big brown book, ISBN 978-1-8698-2613-0), "How to restore Triumph TR5/250 & TR6" by RAC (ISBN 978-1-903706-466), "How to improve Triumph TR6 250 & 6" by Veloce (ISBN 978-190370668-8) and the Reprint of the TR6 Handbook N/A Edition (small book for the glove box). I'll also throw in some copies of Moss Motoring, British Motoring and an issue of Triumph World Magazines. History:As stated above it looks like Merit Cars purchased the car from someone in Indiana and then sold it to me.The car was stored in my garage from the day I purchased it (2011-2013) and then placed in fully enclosed storage unit (2013-2015)Vehicle has been painted previous to my purchasing, original color code was 34 (Jasmine Yellow) and you can see some of the original color in certain parts of the car. Shipping & Payment:Buyer is responsible for arranging transportation of the vehicle from Savannah, GAPayment will only be accepted in the form of a certified/cashier's check and must be received within 7 days of the auction ending.PLEASE: If you have ANY questions please email me and I will do everything to be as up front and honest as possible. The asking price is actually just what I paid for it back in 2011 and it does have A LOT of potential to be a great drive-able project car/restoration candidate and I'm surprised that it's taking so long to sell.
