TR3 Triumph 1959-60 cars/parts for sale. I’ve been accumulating for over 4 decades. The first car (1959} had a rebuilt block and heads 40 years ago, has run, but never been in service. Cylinder sleeve gasket leak. Motor stripped to block. Only the frame remains which is in poor shape. In 1979 I acquired a 1960 TR3 in poor condition. Motor, transmission and rear end still on original frame. Floor pans, sills and trunk floor rotted out. X on frame gone and the motor is seized. Has telescopic steering wheel. My last car is a 1960 southern car. Motor ran before disassembly. The transmission has electric overdrive. Frame has been shell blasted and primed and in excellent condition. Needs a light dusting before painting. Body shell in good condition although trunk floor is gone. Sills and floor pans fair to good. Replacements panels: Inner sills, floor pans, trunk floor, battery box. Rocker panels and front fender repair panels are rust covered. Power train: Three engines and transmissions. One with overdrive. Four rear ends. No interiors. Set of new side curtains/windows. Have a hard top.

The original 2.5L six cylinder engine with twin Stromberg carburetors and manual four speed transmission perform flawlessly. 1978 Triumph Spitfire has been in the family for about ten years or so and well loved and used but space and use forces sale. A little history on the car. My brother originally purchased in 1997 and finished the car for summer 2001. At the time it was done as a simple cruiser but everything was stripped down repainted and repaired. During a winter of storage at his home some racoons got into the car or mice and destroyed the interior. So it was replaced at that point but the roof since he never used wasn't the frame was cleaned in folded down into place. When he decided it was time for a new owner in 2009 I jumped at the chance. He hadn't been using the car very often and the rings had seized that was sorted in 2010 along with the addition of the 123 distributor and other small bits in 2011 the roof was replaced and the headlights upgraded to H4 Conversion while out for a drive the transmission failed and after a lot of research on the fords and even buying a triumph with overdrive I decided the best route for me was a toyota conversion from conversion components in New Zealand. I found two transmission a 1986 and a 1978 both from corollas that would allow me to keep the shifter in the correct spot and it was all installed by 2012 (speedometer never hooked up). The summer of 2012 left me wanting a little more in the way of suspension and handling so that summer I installed adaptor for the wheels and a very firm suspension. The rear leaf was re arched to fix the drivers side sag and pucks were installed between the leafs to stiffen it up then a set of spax shocks were added. The front was a little more work I installed new springs as they were original old spring that had been painted and after installed the tires would rub so I went up to the GT6 springs and added a spacer around base of the spax adjustable shocks to firm it up and keep it from rubbing. 2013 saw the car sat in storage through the summer as there was no room at home for it with the addition of another mini to the garage. Now that back home again for two months it's been out on the road for maybe about five runs and one show. Generally I take the mini most places so we've decided that as the whole family can fit in the mini the spits needs a new home. Have had it out a for few runs this spring and rainy season running great but has developed a small oil leak from the back side of the oil to the best of findings so far, is not a major leak just drips after a run mainly. Lots more pictures in photobucket am happy to add photos here of anything you would like if you have any question or would like to come and see the car please contact me. I am more than happy to help in any way I can with shipping, delivery the car is located in Oshawa Ontario Full Frame off restoration many years ago Tan Top with matching boot cover Toyota five speed gear box 123 Electronic distributor Gt6 Front coil springs with spacer 15x.6.5" Chrome wheels with new Tires one extra tire should something come up also new Original stock wheels also included x5New Spax adjustable shocks on all four corners English front bumperettes Engine had piston rings rings replace approx. 5years ago Engine fully rebuilt approx. 15 Years Kenwood / infintiy stereo system Tonneau cover in black also included Car cover Small box of spare parts will go with the car

This is a customer's British Car For Sale: 1976 Triumph TR6 (Canadian): British Racing Green VIN# CF53646UO Mileage:74,000 KM The overall condition of the car is excellent. The frame and body are in very good condition with no rust or corrosion present. It had a complete respray to the body inside and out with everything removed. The restoration was done quite a while ago. The mileage since then has been minimal. The complete interior was replaced, the engine and transmission were rebuilt. A complete new Overdrive unit was added, along with the gearbox Main-shaft/3rd motion shaft. The Overdrive control on the Steering column is original. The original Stromberg Carburetors were replaced with a pair of Weber 32/36 DGV using an approved manifold and throttle linkage. A set of new Wire wheels and Adaptors were also fitted. The list of new parts at the rebuild is extensive too numerous to list here. Past invoices are available to serious buyers. The BRG colour and Tan interior are in very good condition with a new tonneau cover. The cost of installing the Weber carburetors, Wire Wheels, and Overdrive into a TR6 is well above $7,500 and so is reflected in the price of the car. It drives with a solid feel no bulkhead or body movement typical of an ageing Triumph. This car comes with an Ontario Safety Certification as "Certified". I have over 40 years experience in repairs and restoration of British cars .I have done my best to describe this car. You can call me between 9am to 6pm Eastern time, Monday- Friday if you have any questions regarding this car at 905-788-3298. We are within 20 minutes of the Peace Bridge, Fort Erie, Ontario and Buffalo, New York. A $500 non refundable deposit is due within 24 hours after sale ends. Full payment is due within 7 days after sale ends. Buyer is responsible for arranging pick up and/or transporting costs as well as proper documentation if crossing the US Border. I will assist if I can. This Car is also listed locally so I reserve the right to end the sale at any time. ALL SALES ARE FINAL WITH CAR BEING SOLD WHERE IS, AS IS! The vehicle is offered with a right to a personal inspection. The vehicle is available for inspection prior to sale. You will have (7) days to inspect said vehicle after the close of sale. I encourage a physical inspection strongly to avoid any misunderstandings or representations. All used vehicles should be assumed to have some degree of wear. No vehicle is perfect to everyone. Each vehicle has its strengths, styles, tendencies and shortcomings. Therefore, despite our best efforts to verify a vehicle’s mechanical condition, we are not able to warranty a manufacturer’s workmanship or previous owner’s diligence in care. It is for this reason that all vehicles are sold ”WHERE/IS, AS/IS”. We have described the above mentioned vehicle to the best of our ability.
