Roll-up windows, Tonneau cover, boot cover, Twin rear-view mirrors, correct "Painted Spoke" wheels, seat belts and rear mounted chrome luggage rack. Please compare...photo to photo, with the other TR 4-A's listed on Ebay right now...ours is clearly the finest. Correct wood paneled dash...per factory specs...not like the others... Everything works like new. Starts, shifts and runs like the wind. The new upgraded 5-Speed Transmission shifts smoothly and the brakes stop it on a dime. Motor purrs like a kitten, and the ride is very authentic the the period. Either way, this machine will bring much pleasure. Please call me directly with any questions: Jim @ 248-431-8024 (Michigan). In answer to your many questions; Yes, those are "Stone Guard" grills on the headlamps.... and the metal "European" monogramed front license plate...and a new Battery....being constantly charged with a "trickle" style hookup. When you compare this car with the others on Ebay....be sure to look closely at the engine compartments, and compare the condition of each. We also have the BRITISH MOTOR INDUSTRY HERITAGE TRUST CERTIFICATE! This TR4 was dispatched to San Francisco on February 1st, 1966.

Offered on eBay worldwide! "We extend this auction worldwide to any and all eBay members in good standing! Rare find! 1980 Triumph TR8 Convertible: With 67,000 miles only 2700 produced there are approximately 750 of these left world wide. Vehicle has had a 4 barrel intake side draft intake manifold. Looks like car has original paint but we cannot tell for sure. It definitely presents the original color and decals. It's not perfect, it has a paint wear spot above the right rear wheel well that we showed a closeup of, but she shows very well. Front and rear bumpers are in excellent condition, has nice sport wheels and good rubber. Dash assembly is free from any cracks and the original interior is in very good condition but needs a thorough detail cleaning. Convertible top is in fair condition with seem rips under each side plastic window with a couple of liquid rubber repairs done by previous owner and some rain will get in if left outside, nothing serious but needs repaired or replaced though, see the pics. The top frame does fold up and down manually and locks in place as it should. The speedo cable needs replaced and a new one is included. Also included are brand new tonneau and boot covers. The heat blows on just one fan setting, air condition does not work, push button start not working, turn key start only. It has a nice cassette am/fm radio that works. Has custom blue led in and outside lights installed that works with the flip of a switch, the pop up lights work perfectly. Now we must say this car starts, stops, idles, runs, shifts, and drives amazingly well. Was just taken on a long test ride and all I can say is, wow! The car shifts and handles tight and smooth just like it is supposed to.You will not be disappointed! We want to move this car out before winter, but will not give it away. We will store it till next season if necessary. We really are not aware of any history of this car but we will try to answer any questions you may have throughout the week. It was taken in by our facility on a trade deal. The numbers match, she is rare and original. Comes with Clear Michigan title."This does start, run, and drive fine, it has no oil leaks, sold as is condition, not brand new, may be a couple little things that need attention or that we missed as to be expected for a 35 year old car. " Look at all the pictures closely as this is part of the description. Note: LOCAL PICK UP AVAILABLE ONLY. "We will hold the car free of charge up to 30 days if needed, but car must be paid for in full within 1 week of auction close. We do not except large payments via paypal except for the $500. down payment due at end of auction. "It is our strict policy to be honest and not to embellish or attempt to hide any details of items we sell." "If an error in one of our auctions is brought to our attention, we make the proper adjustments accordingly." "In return we kindly ask that as you make the decision to buy, that you have the same integrity to follow through with the transaction as described in the terms layed out for this auction." ("Buy it now anytime here or locally with no waiting for $11500.")(Call or text 231-384-5506 to discuss anything regarding the vehicle purchase, we will get back to you promptly.)

I hauled this car home on a trailer in 1992. The car was in one piece but needed a lot of work. The engine was completely rebuilt in the late 1990s and I filled it up completely with oil and stored it until the body work was done. The body was not removed from the frame as the car had leaked so much oil that the underside was completely coated and the frame was preserved. I installed a new door skin on the driver's door, two new rocker supports and rocker panels, driver's side floor pan, and a new four part rear fender on the driver's side. The body/paint/etc. work was completed in 2001. The under body was undercoated. The transmission was rebuilt in 2002 and the car was finally put on the road. Since 2002, the car has been driven about 300 miles per year. The dates listed above are approximate from memory. The car has never been rained on but it does have a tonneau cover and a convertible top, both of which are in the trunk. There are no side curtains. There are some minor blemishes in the paint. I took it in to University Motors last year for repairs because it was a hard starter and there was also a short in the wipers. They tuned the carburetors and installed a new control head. It starts easily now and the wipers work, both low and high speed. All gauges work. All lights work. The car is stock except I converted the cartridge oil filter to a spin-on filter, installed an electronic ignition system, installed an oil cooler, and installed a thermostat controlled fan for extra cooling. Triumph's were notorious for running hot, hence the oil cooler and extra fan. I recently bought a used valve cover on eBay and had it chromed. I installed it but do not like the way the oil filler cap fits. I still have the old valve cover, some spare parts, and a well thumbed manual. Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE

I spent a ton of money rebuilding this car from the inside out. Check the pics of the engine bay and trunk. The plan was once it was all rebuilt, send it off the body shop. It isn't going to work out that way. I finished the major mechanical work about three years ago. But I have not done much with it since. The engine is totally rebuilt to the highest professional standards. It runs cool, smooth and quietly. The transmission, a four-speed overdrive (J-Type) was rebuilt by Quantum Mechanics in Ct. Works like new. The differential, axles, suspension, brakes, all rebuilt. All done by a professional British car restorer. When this last winter storage ended, she emerged with a noisy throwout bearing. I am not going to fix the car. I no longer have the space, much less the time to pull the gearbox and make the repair. The Stag is still drivable, just very noisy when you touch the clutch pedal. I have a new carpet set, a new cloth convertible top and a new windshield seal that will go with the car, I have spent far north of 20k on this car, and I am going to lose quite a bit. That's the way it goes I guess. I can't emphasize enough the mechanical condition, aside from the t/o bearing. The car has a Holley carb, Pertronix ignition, so it is dependable. The dash wood is good. The seat upholstery is good, but the seat foams need replacing. The dash has a few cracks. There is no rust on the car. It needs paint. The green looks far better in pictures than it does in real life. A pretty easy project for someone looking for a mechanically done Stag that needs mostly just cosmetics. Car is located in Detroit. I wouldn't drive it far not knowing how long the t/o bearing will last. Got questions: fire away. Rich Truett

1979 Triumph Spitfire. Runs and drives fine, but I would put new breaks on before a long trip. Just fired her up yesterday. The pictures were also taken yesterday as well. She has some rust here and there and some paint issues; however, I would consider her a 15 footer. A very solid car for racing or just to drive around in. No reserve! I will be happy to help someone in a different state if they arrange for shipping.

New items: convertible top, factory orange paint, Weber Carb., tires, starter, alternator, fuel pump. water pump, stereo system/speakers & much, much more.......
