this is a 1972 Triumph TR6 convertible sports touring car with roll bar. It starts and could be driven with little work as it is. Only rust is side rocker panels which I have new ones to install with car. The entire car is made to rebuild and I have a complete manual with ALL rebuild instructions for all parts of the car. Parts are available in your normal part stores as well as original british parts. Most parts common of older jaguars as well. Restored, the cars value is 17,000 to 30,000. The car is capable of high speeds due to the 4sp with OD trans option. This car was mine to restore but I have recently become terminally ill, so its best I let another car lover with the time to enjoy the great little sports car of my dreams, have it. This car is solid and is a quality restoration car that has great value, and high road racing performance.

This is a beautiful little car and a true joy to drive. It always draws attention and generates smiles. I have enjoyed owning it for a decade but I have become to busy to continue taking it out so I have decided that I want someone else to have the opportunity to enjoy it like I used to. It drives great and runs smooth. The carburetors were just rebuilt and new points put in the distributor. Runs great, but has a few areas that could use some TLC. The paint looks good with a fresh coat of wax, but it has some chips and it is faded so it really needs a new paint job. The dash is secure and except for the odometer all of the gauges work but it is wobbly could use some bracing and the wood has some water stains which could easily be sanded out and varnished. The convertible top has a tiny pinhole where the lock is (if you want, a new top can be purchases for less than $200). The passenger side plastic bumper cover is damaged. The only other problems are minimal and include: loose buttons and one button that was pulled through the leather tunic, it needs new tires, and the window wiper fluid does not spray. Also, the fuel pump was converted from mechanical to electric but the original is still attached so it can be converted back if desired.

The Interior and brightwork are without fault, the top is new, the wheels and tires are excellent, and the car is rust free with a nicely detailed engine compartment and undercarriage. Everything appears to have been redone on this car it appears to have been a ground up restoration.  The car runs exceptionally well I have taken it on several long distance tours and it has never left me by the side of the road. It handles well, shifts well, stops well, goes down the road straight as an arrow, and never disappoints. A triple Weber Carb set up, which evidently was used in Europe for Rallying and includes a beefer Cam, dual exhaust, and a Roll bar have been added. This car sounds simply amazing-it is the best sounding TR6 I have ever encountered.   This is one of the better TR6's we have had the opportunity to represent. This is a fine example that will provide years of driving enjoyment. If you are looking for a nice TR6 you can really enjoy driving and showing this is your car! We have many more photographs of this car, please click on any image to be taken to our full-size image list! The Triumph TR6 (1969–76) was a British six-cylinder sports car and the best-seller of the TR range built by Triumph when production ended in July 1976. This record was then surpassed by the TR7. 91,850 TR6s were built. All TR6 sports cars featured inline six-cylinder engines. For the US market the engine was carburetted, as had been the US-only TR250 model's engine. For other world markets including England, the TR6 was fuel-injected as had been the non-US market TR5. The Lucas mechanical fuel injection system helped the home-market TR6 produce 150 bhp at model introduction. Later the non-US TR6 variant was detuned to 125 hp in order for it to be easier to drive, while the US-variant continued to be carburetted with a mere 104 hp. The TR6 featured a four speed manual transmission. An optional equipment overdrive unit was a desirable feature because it gave drivers close-gearing for aggressive driving, yet "long legs" for open motorways. TR6 also featured independent rear suspension, rack and pinion steering, fifteen inch wheels and tires, pile carpet on floors and boot, bucket seats, and a full complement of instrumentation. Braking was accomplished by disc brakes in the front; drum brakes in the rear. A factory steel hard top was optional. TR6 construction was fundamentally old-fashioned: the body was bolted onto a frame instead of the two being integrated into a unibody structure; the TR6 dashboard was wooden (plywood w/ veneer). Besides the TR250 and TR5, the TR6 was also preceded by a series of four-cylinder Triumph TRs: TR2, TR3, TR3A, TR4, and TR4A. TR6 was succeeded by the four-cylinder TR7 and the eight-cylinder TR8. The Triumph TR6 is supported by active clubs and reliable service parts suppliers. (152 C.I.) 106 BHP Original Stromberg (SU) Carburetors 4 Speed Transmission Highlights: This Florida car was restored to its factory new form with the original white color (Color Code 19). The engine bay is highly detailed and looks as it did when it came from the factory. In addition to the frame-off restoration (have pics of the restoration), it was mechanically redone as well; new brakes, shocks, suspension, new brake and fuel lines, etc. All the lights, horn, turn signals ('trafficators' as the Brits referred to them) all work. The green hoses and ignition wires are correct. The radiator and air cleaner are original as are the SU (rebuilt) carburetors. The interior is all new and 100% correct to the car, except for the (working) aftermarket radio. The car has its original steering wheel (replacing the one shown in the pic) that has no cracks or tears in the leather. The wood dash insert is beautiful with no cracks. All the original Smith gauges work. The dash pad is new with no cracks. The carpet, door panels and vinyl seat coverings are all new. The paint is shiny and overall very nice, with no chips, dents or paint runs. The convertible top is new. The back plastic window is clear with no scratches. The weather stripping was all replaced. The windshield is in good condition with no scratches and only minor pitting. The door windows are new. The bumpers are new and are bright and shiny. The trunk is correctly detailed. The underside was restored to factory correctness. The car starts every time and runs smoothly. The transmission shifts smoothly. Oil pressure is 70 + pounds cold and 50+ pounds when car is at temperature and being driven. It runs cool in the hottest of weather. It is a very pleasant car to drive. While it won't burn up the road under acceleration, it does corner like few cars of its day or even today for that matter. While you have probably heard all the rumors about how terrible the Lucas electrical systems were, I can honestly tell you I have never experienced any problems with it on these car. New wiring harnesses might have a lot to do with this no hassle performance. Listing of Restoration Highlights: Driveline components rebuilt; transmission, clutch, rear-end, & U joints All new body mounts All new brake components, including new master cylinder, calibers, rotors, pads & rubber & hard lines All new suspension components, including shocks, springs, tie rods, link pins, sway bar bushings, etc. New stock exhaust system All new interior….carpet, seat foam & vinyl, dash, seat belts, mirrors, visors, handles, knobs, switches, etc Both bumpers are new New convertible top New door glass Aftermarket wheels to enhance the car's appearance Trunk is detailed with new carpet & panels & working light fixture. New door assembles, window roll up channels, hood and trunk closure assemblies, etc All new wiring harnesses This is a very nice car that can be driven and taken to the weekend car shows. It is a blast to drive. TR6s are steadily appreciating in value as enthusiasts find out about their value compared to the much pricier British sports cars of the era. It is a very sound car that if taken care of will provide a good investment. I encourage you to come and take a look and test drive this sports car.
