This was my daily driver for about a year and a half. Access cab, 4 cylinder, 4 wheel drive, with a 5 speed manual. Everything works as it should, and there are no fluid leaks. The engine runs excellent and does not burn any oil. Clutch action is good with no grabbing or slipping. Features include AC and a CD player, sliding rear window (one of my favorite features) with OEM dark tinted glass, trailer hitch (drawbar/ball not included) and wiring plug for trailer lights.Ironically, the manual windows are the reason I'm selling the truck. I had major surgery on my right shoulder, and 7 months post-op the crank windows are difficult for me, so I'm selling the truck. I liked the Tacoma so much, I just bought my third one, this time with power windows. It has been extremely reliable during the time I've owned it. Prior to buying it, I had Toyota dealer replace the front sway bar linkages on both sides e and had them install two new rear shocks. Since then, I have had no breakdowns or problems to fix. I change the oil about every 5,000 miles and use Mobil1 Synthetic only. Just the routine maintenance, wash it, and drive it... it is a Toyota after all. My previous Tacoma, a 1996, was 18 years old with over 200k and still going strong when I finally sold it prior to buying this one! I have not driven the truck off road much... just some dirt farm lanes when I cut firewood. No mud bogging, stream crossings or hill climbs, though these trucks are certainly capable and tolerant of that kind of use. As mentioned, all systems work as they should, including the 4 wheel drive (hi and lo range) with automatic locking hubs, which I mostly used for winter driving, rather than off road use. I have a copy of the Carfax report that I can send to you as a PDF if you are interested. There were no accidents/thefts/flood damage reported by me or previous owner. Very fuel efficient truck for its size. This generation Tacoma is larger than the previous generation, but has better power thanks to variable valve timing 2.7 liter engine and gets better gas mileage to boot. I've gotten as high as 24 mpg highway and never lower than 19 mpg in the city. On my back road and city commute, I average 21 mpg. There aren't many 4wd trucks that get that kind of gas mileage! As far as issues, there are a few... The tires are worn out. They pass inspection, but are nearing the end of their service life. If the buyer is interested and the price is right, we can work on swapping the Goodyear tires from my new truck that have about 75% tread life left, as I plan to get all-terrain tires. There are some scratches on the plastic front bumper, but no cracks or creases/dents. There is an intermittent noise that sounds like a squeaky serpentine belt... it has been noisy off and on, so it has not yet been addressed. It is due for an oil change. I have not had to do any maintenanc For those of you that are familiar with Toyota Tacomas, you are probably aware of the Toyota Factory Recall that applies to this year/model regarding frame corrosion. I recently had my truck in to Team Toyota in Glenn Mills, PA for this recall. They inspected the frame and determined that the frame is solid and passed the inspection. (if the truck fails, Toyota will replace the frame of the vehicle). In this case, the truck passed the inspection, so they clean the frame and apply a thick rust preventative coating, so this truck will be around a long time. The recall extends through March 2016, but figured I'd have that addressed so there are no questions regarding the frame condition and recall status. One other "outstanding" recall on the truck is the rear leaf springs. Again, my truck passed the recall spring inspection by the dealer, so no action is needed. Toyota states they are coming up with a remedy that they are planning to roll out, which will probably be a re-designed leaf spring to replace the current spring (my guess). I've hauled loads of firewood and have had the springs almost maxed out and had no issues. Any questions, please ask, I'd be happy to answer them. I welcome and encourage any potential buyers to see the truck in person and to test drive it to assess the condition of the vehicle for yourself.
