Starting in 1945; Mr. Clyde Roberts began the family business by opening a Mobil Service Station & Garage with his sons Lyndal and Bay on the corner of West Commerce and Third Avenue in Lewisburg, TN (shown below).  Shortly after the opening of the garage, Lyndal left the business to pursue other ventures. During the years of 1950-1955 the Roberts father-son team along with Stanley Thompson formed a used car business next to the old Baxter Garage on First Avenue in Lewisburg, TN. In 1956, after  Mr. Clyde's retirement, Bay Roberts formed the Roberts Motor Company out of a building at 2nd Avenue also in Lewisburg, TN (shown below).  The Roberts family, however, was not meant to stay in this location for long. Just three years after moving to 2nd Avenue, the Roberts family moved their business to 920 Verona Avenue (shown below). Starting in 1945; Mr. Clyde Roberts began the family business by opening a Mobil Service Station & Garage with his sons Lyndal and Bay on the corner of West Commerce and Third Avenue in Lewisburg, TN (shown below).  Shortly after the opening of the garage, Lyndal left the business to pursue other ventures. During the years of 1950-1955 the Roberts father-son team along with Stanley Thompson formed a used car business next to the old Baxter Garage on First Avenue in Lewisburg, TN. In 1956, after  Mr. Clyde's retirement, Bay Roberts formed the Roberts Motor Company out of a building at 2nd Avenue also in Lewisburg, TN (shown below).  The Roberts family, however, was not meant to stay in this location for long. Just three years after moving to 2nd Avenue, the Roberts family moved their business to 920 Verona Avenue (shown below). The building cost $12,700 and came standard with a shaded area under the tree shown below equipped with a school bus seat where many customers would be seen receiving sales consultation.(shown below) The Roberts family would keep their franchise in that location for many years and in 1971 acquired the Toyota franchise. It would remain there for 30 years until its move to its current location at 1027 Nashville Hwy, Columbia, Tennessee in September of 2001. Complete new front suspension including ball joints, springs, shocks and bushings. Crager 15 inch black wheels. Bedliner Aligned and drives straight as an arrow. Original windshield in excellent condition with no cracks. Pioneer CD player Rear bumper does have some rust damage, but is still structually sound. This is the only rust on truck. I have owned this truck for almost three years with no problems. I have used it to drive to work approximately 400 miles a week in order to save gas. These were 75% highway miles. If your looking for a solid little truck that has been beyond well cared for...then this is it. There are MANY miles left in this vehicle. Not wanting to sell, but just purchased a third Toyota and I am letting this one go. I know what a Tacoma in this condition is worth and I am under no pressure to sell, so please no low-ball offers.
