This auction is for a fairly good looking daily driven 2005 Toyota Prius. It flies up and down the road, doing pretty much whatever speed you wish. Some models of Toyota Prius slow way down going up hills. This model zooms up hills! We've regularly taken it on several long trips with no problems. It gets the best mileage per gallon of anything I've ever owned. It's comfortable, has decent room and ice cold air conditioning. It was serviced at the Toyota dealer a few weeks ago and is in fine running condition. Also, I put new brakes and rotors on it last year. We are selling because we recently purchased a newer car. Vehicle condition: It has approx 183,500 mostly freeway miles on it. These cars are known to be able to get 300,000 or more on them as you'll read if you google them and as evidenced by the many taxi companies that use them. I replaced the hybrid battery with a good used one some months back, so you should have no battery concerns. This car is in reasonably good looking condition inside and out. It does have some scratches and dings here or there. Hood and bumper have stone chips in the paint. The front bumper is a little imperfect and could be tweaked at a shop if you want it to be perfect, but it's really not that bad and I just never saw the need. There is also a small lower bumper grill that can use a 10 minute replacement job and I already have the new part for you to install. Cosmetically not a perfect car but reasonably good looking. There are some minor windshield chips from rocks also. Interior is in good to fair condition with nominal wear. There are a few scratches on the lower glove box area near your knees. I had it thoroughly detailed including upholstery about a year ago. There was no smoking, no pets and no kids in it at least as long as I've owned it.When looking at this auction and wondering whether to buy it or not, notice the large number after my name and the 100%! Some of these other guys have maybe a 1 digit number after their name, or a not so great score. Would you rather buy from a private owner (who actually drives this car regularly) with over 1700 after their name and 100%, or someone who just acquired the car and has only a digit or so after his name? :) Payment: Buying from a private seller means no hidden dealer fees. I've seen $150, $250, $395, $250 plus 5% (that's $5 for every hundred, equaling $50 per thousand, etc), even $895 in hidden dealer fees on cars on ebay. Not a dime of that crap here. Some auctions for these may sell for less on the other coast. Don't forget to add the $1500 that you'll spend to ship it out here if you are in So Cal. That's a big price changer! Beware of people selling cars on ebay that do not have their own name on the title! This is very common on ebay. These guys buy it at a good price from someone else then list it and try to make a few bucks turning it over. This can cause you a lot of headache and perhaps days of grief trying to track down the previous owners he bought it from to get missing signatures or forms when you are trying to get a new title for it. (Been there, done that!) Always ask before buying! Rest assured that this clean California title has MY name on it!This car is sold as-is. By bidding on or buying this car, you are discharging me from any duty of the laws of your state to provide any registrations, smog certificates, or any other other paperworks or expenses other than giving you the title. All controls work. Windows, side mirrors, locks, etc. The only thing that has an issue is the radio volume control. 20% of the time it's finicky, but we can change the volume using the steering wheel controls. I've tracked every fuel-up on Fuelly.com and I average 47.6 miles per gallon. I did most of the maintenace on the car and took it to the dealer for recalls. I only used OEM parts or better. Oil changes were all with either Mobil 1 or Pennzoil Platinum FULL synthentic oil. I used either OEM Toyota, Wix, or Purolator One oil filters (the best). Fully loaded 2008 model (pkg 6) with 2014 upgraded rims upgraded (the black ones) and low 49,999k miles. Clean title, clean carfax, title in hand. Classy color combo: grey with grey leather interior, JBL 9-speaker stereo, 6 CD changer, MP3 capable CD player, MP3 socket, bluetooth-cellular, factory navigation, fog lights. Floor and cargo mats, cargo area cover, cruise control, smooth CVT, all the usual Prius features, including of course superb mpg. NEW xenon hid headlamps replaced (a $500 cost saved) and no issues of any kind. Toyota warranty till 150,000 miles. There are some scrapes and dings from life in the city but nothing major and the asking price reflects this cosmetic issue.
