I'm finally tearing this amazing, rare and beautiful MR2 out of my hands. I bought him new in 1987, and he's been garaged most of the time I've had him. Very fast, very fun to drive and can he be your daily car or your fun sunny day play car. I have all the paperwork from all work, repairs, emissions testing and servicing. I have all booklets where I recorded mileage etc. at every gas fill, servicing.Have the original care owners booklet. T-top has never leaked. No modifications. Has cruise, power windows, locks. No emissions issues or supercharger intermittency.Alloy wheelsCassette playerUp to date with tune-ups. Has a new timing belt. New plugs. All new fluids. No rust.Never had anyone smoking in it. Only things not perfect: Leather upholstery needs some repair, and a couple of little surface things damaged, but looks, runs and drives great. The only thing that doesn't work electrically is the control of the passenger power window operation switch on/from the drivers side. Passenger side power window switch works fine. A couple of little interior plastic bits have come off, but I have them.The air dam, front plastic piece close the ground is a little beat up but not too bad.Paint a little oxidized in spots.You will not regret buying and owning this little gem!
This is Mr. 2,He's a 1988 Supercharged, Toyota MR2 with 138xxx miles! Back in 1988, Mr. 2 rolled off the Japanese factory with Leather seats, T-tops, Teardrop wheels, and that beautiful Orange Pearl paint. Everything that was there then is here now. The only thing changed is the exhaust. He has a stainless steel quad exhaust that really purs! He revs like a beast and has economy mode that lowers the responsiveness and will take regular gas. I only put premium in though. The seats are the original frames, but have been redone in the same color. The original radio works and is unaltered. The cruise control doesn't work and I haven't investigated to figure out why. I drive it like it wants to be driven, but I don't thrash it, I just make sure I use the full range of it's revs. That's what these four cylinders want! I do drive him and the mileage might be at 139,xxx when he sells. With Mr. 2, you will be taken back to 1988! You'll have a RWD Toyota, which is impossible to buy today, and you'll have two trunks! The front "trunk" has a spare wheel that is unused, and the rear has enough space for two duffle bags. There are also power options for the windows and locks! Mechanically, I just need to fix that small oil leak and that'll be it, other than regular oil changes. The timing belt has been changed after 110,000 miles and I've had no problems. These are becoming really rare. I've only seen a couple that haven't had the wing ripped off for some gaudy air foil. The headlights pop up and the wheels are the originals.
