A low mileage (45,473) 1987 Toyota MR2 T-Top with the rare and highly desirable red exterior / red/black interior. The car was in storage for 15 years. The car has no rust, no t-top leaks and runs perfect. The car is only used during summer and in storage during winter. (never driven in snow) Original paint is in very good condition, except front hood has a few scratches and body has a few door dings, interior is in excellent condition Technically, I am the second owner the previous owner had the car for two months and I purchased the car in 2011 with 32,000 miles. I am an engineer and mechanic and I performed the following preventive maintenance and repaired common mr2 issues: - 35,473 mile performed tune-up (New spark plugs, wires, distributor cap & rotor) and replace with new: timing belt, fuel pump, alternator, distributor seal, exhaust, radiator cap, surge bottle cap, thermostat and flush all fluids (cooling, trans, brakes), speakers, door motor gear and rebuild brake master cylinder and performance tires & wheel alignment. - 44,231 miles installed new performance brake pads and new sears battery. The only issue the A/C needs freon, Never had a need for A/C, only drive car with T-top off in summer. The car is an automatic equipped with power mode, very fast and great handling. Selling car to buy a second generation turbo MR2 but, no rush to sell. This is a rare opportunity to buy a very nice, trouble-free, low miles classic MR2. All preventive maintenance performed and this car will easily give you 200,000 more miles.
