Boldly massive air scoops run along the body's sides ahead of the rear wheels of the MR2 Spyder. A wide, gaping grille opening dominates the low-slung front end. Large, round headlights are encased in elongated, clear-plastic housings. Front and rear overhangs are minimal, and the MR2's 96.5-inch wheelbase is 7 inches longer than the Miata's. The top folds flat into a well, and a wind deflector mounts behind the seats. Alloy wheels hold 15-inch tires in front, but new 16-inch tires are used at the rear. Seating is cozy for two occupants on bucket seats. Standard features include drilled aluminum pedals, a leather-wrapped tilt steering wheel, a cassette/CD stereo, air conditioning, and power windows, door locks and mirrors. A large, center tachometer dominates the three-pod gauge cluster. Tall folks can stretch out, but cargo space is virtually nonexistent - it is officially listed at a minuscule 1.9 cubic feet. Installed is a leather-trimmed seat package. The MR2's 138-horsepower, 1.8-liter, dual-overhead-cam four-cylinder engine is adapted from the one used in the Celica; it teams with a five-speed-manual transmission. Toyota claims the MR2 Spyder can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in less than 7 seconds. All-disc antilock brakes and daytime running lights are standard. I'm selling my 1994 black mr2 Turbo. It is loaded and has every option for the year. Car is from Texas so no rust and clean underbody etc. The interior is one of the cleanest you will ever find for a mr2 that is 20 yrs old. Many new parts.... New shift boot, new Floormats,full-tune up with all new ignition stuff,cap,rotor,plug wires,spark plugs and front tires all brand new. Brand new 20% window tint. T-tops seals are good and NO LEAKS (yes rare also I know) seats have not one tear in them and they are original. Modifications: ct20b turbo(spools way faster than stock turbo and pulls to the redline matched up to 3inch downpipe) motor runs great with no issues. Also has new light flywheel with heavy duty street clutch with only 6000 miles on it. The two-piece 17inch wheels by kinetic where 2300 dollars without tires and I just fitted some brandnew TRD center caps on them to dress them up a bit more. I just put brandnew foglamps and also new 255 Walbro fuel pump in So it can handle bigger injectors and bigger turbo down the road. Has a fully done Stereo system with two amps and 2 bazooka subs behind the seats with ipod/iPhone hook up. I put a lot of money into this car to get is super nice and get compliments on it ALL the time and people randomly taking pics of it. I'm only selling cause I want V8 m3 competition package. If I could afford to have the mr2 and the M3 I would for sure but I don't have that luxury at this point to do so. I sold a black 1995 mr2 turbo with 111k on it for $16,500 two years ago so I know what the last 2 production years of these cars bring money wise so please do not waste time trying to lowball me as this is my 7th mr2 turbo over the years and know the market well;) I want close to my asking price. "Frunk" (Front Trunk) - Most spaced used up by spare wheel; however you can flip it upside down to also use it as a pretty big storage area. The spare tire comes with a full sized wheel (needed since the car has staggered tire setup) that has never seen pavement. It's a 1ZZ-FE engine. The earlier pre-2003 models had issues with catalytic failures leading to fatal engines. This one does not have that issue. No engine modifications or anything like that. Very simple access and maintenance (I do my own oil changes). The "alien beam" button is for the proximity alarm. I pointed out a dent in the front left fender that someone did in the Metra parking lot. No paint damage, just bent in; I've been told that you could do it yourself but it would take a braver man than I to risk it. In second to last picture of this batch where the bumper and the fender meet by the wheel there is a ~1cm chip. In the picture of the hood there are a few miniscule paint chips, tiny though. As I said, the car has been our road trip vehicle amongst a few dozen states and Canada so it's seen some highway miles and hence the source of some of these imperfections.
