For sale is a beautiful 2000 Toyota MR2 Spyder with just over 132k miles and only 60k miles on the 6 speed transmission out of a Celica GTS from Monkey Wrench Racing. I have all the receipts with work done on the vehicle.I am the 2nd owner. Clean title and history. Vehicle has never been in a accident.The body kit is a Genuine TRD and is very rare. Paint is in great condition.In the last two years I've replaced the transmission and clutch. All new struts and bushings throughout the vehicle.All new A/C components, Starter, Axles, Gaskets and Stoptech brake pads and rotors.Recently installed a new Topspeed/CHE header/Downpipe and new O2 sensors.I replaced the top also, which is still in good condition, just a small one inch tear that I repaired (see photo).The driver seat has good amount of wear & tear, light wear to steering wheel but overall the interior is in good condition as well. Currently the check engine light is on (code p0420) which usually is the o2 sensor, but I dont have the time right now to fix it.Rear tires need to be replaced soon.I replace the plastic undertrays with Zerosport's Aluminum undertray another very rare item.This a super fun convertible and that gets over 30 mpg.

The vehicle started out as a normally aspirated stock 1991 Toyota MR-2, and i have invested more than $6,500 above base price on an engine upgrade and a transmission rebuild in addition to other minor refurbishment to make this one of the smoothest driving and "freshest" cars of its kind in the country. our family has grown by 3 kids in 3 years and it's time for me to say goodbye to the 2-seater and use the cash on something i can strap a few car seats into.I bought the car in late 2012 from an experienced shop that swapped in a new GEN 4 Turbo engine from an early 2000's JDM Toyota Caldina and refurbished the vehicle. Since purchase I have invested in more overhauls while driving the car less than 150 miles in a typical month. Although the chassis (originally a non-turbo) has over 160k miles i was told by the seller that the swapped JDM Gen4 Turbo engine had less than 65k on it. The swap was done by the trustworthy pros at Prime MR-2 in New Jersey. They are MR2 specialists and the best in the country at these swaps and their excellent summary of the process, the benefits, their experience with swaps, and estimated specs can be found at the Prime MR2Website. NOTE: I am not affiliated with Prime MR2, I'm linking to their page for the best description of the work performed and the resulting specs As you will see at the site, the engine swap is a nearly $5,000 investment and pays big performance dividends. Other investments into the car include: -Completely rebuilt transmission (amazing difference - almost feels like a new car) in January 2015 - $1600+ investment. Less than 1000 miles driven since rebuild -Tinted Windows & T-Top Panels -A\C system Conversion from R12 freon to R134a (and recharged Freon late summer 2014)The car had new clutch, tires, brakes installed before i took delivery (probably less than 5,000 miles ago), and a fresh battery less than 2,000 miles ago. I have driven the car less than 1,000 miles per year since I bought it in October 2012, and not very aggressively - commuting and errands. The body and interior are nearly 25 years old, and obviously show use accordingly. there is some chipping, scratches in areas of the exterior, although most of that is constrained to accent areas rather than the body panels. The bumper paint is chipping in both corners. general interior wear and tear is probably better than your usual over-20-year-old vehicle . i've tried to show the wear and tear in the photos.the speedometer and odometer have not been working. this happened approximately 7 tankfuls (less than 2,000 miles) ago, it hasn’t bothered me (i know my speed by gear and RPM) and so I haven’t bothered to get it fixed. i've been told it is easily fixable for a couple hundred bucks of parts and labor.Please contact me with any questions. I don't have tremendous knowledge of car mods and this is the only MR-2 i've driven or owned, so there may be some questions i may struggle to answer but i will be completely honest with you and answer all questions to the best of my ability. This is one incredibly nice 1991 Toyota MR2 being sold by the original (non-smoking) owner. It is a meticulously maintained car that has been driven mostly highway miles, was always garaged, and it has never been driven outside of Florida. I'm selling it because I bought a new sports sedan and don't have room to keep all our cars in our garage. It has the original paint, interior, etc., and there is not a single door-ding on it! This car is for the serious collector who can appreciate a beautiful one of a kind car. This MR2 is equipped with the turbocharged 2.0L twin cam 4 cylinder engine with 5-speed manual transmission. The only issue I'm aware of is that it uses a quart of oil from time to time, most likely because of the high mileage. All the engine seals were replaced a few years ago along with the timing belt so it doesn't leak ANY visible oil. Accessories include the original 5-spoke alloy wheels, removable glass T-tops, an upgraded audio system with a Sherwood 240 watt audio amplifier, and more. Service manuals will be provided with the vehicle. No tire kickers or dealers looking for wholesale pricing please, the price is firm.

1991 Mr2 Turbo Just finished a 1 year restoration on this car. The car was completely stripped down to the frame. The car got a full paint job. This was done with the engine, interior, hoods, doors, GLASS!! and nearly every trim piece off the car. This alone was $6500. Motor was fully disassembled and rebuilt with minor upgrades.
