1972 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ 40 this truck started life in Kansas so its a SOLID TRUCK! Completely rebuilt by a local mechanic over 6 months back in 2006 heres what was done, Rebuilt Engine, Rebuilt Transmissison, New Brakes, New Electrical, New Suspension, and new wheels and tires. Just had the truck serviced (oil change etc) and the mechanic couldn't believe how solid the truck was and it really didn't need anything major he could find. Truck starts right up and runs great, perfect oil pressure runs cool etc! The truck is very original the body is original and all metal! There is no major rot on this truck its as solid as you will find for a 1972 truck (a little spot starting under the door on the drivers side door nothen major at all!) The body on the truck is really nice it has some flaws in the paint (was painted many years ago) and a little surface rust in a few spots where the paint chipped but it solid not something you can poke through (Cause the panels on these trucks are single walled metal you can tell there is 0 bondo on this truck no rust holes filled . The interior is in great shape no rips in the seats all gauges work except speedo. Has original bench seat in the front as well as the sideways seats in the rear. The drivers floor had a little rust and has already been replaced. The engine compartment is very original and dry no oils leaks that can be scene. The truck does come with two tops (I have never used the soft top looked good but not sure still in the bag and will go with the truck). These trucks are getting very hard to find! For a 1972 truck its in great shape its not a perfect show truck but a great driver!
