For sale is my 1977 FJ40. I bought it in 2008 in Camp Verde, Arizona and drove it back to Virginia Beach. It has had a frame-off restoration completed on it, and has ZERO CANCER. This is one of the cleanest 40's you will find out there. Any bad metal (Cancer) was cut out, new metal welded in and ground flat. The body on her is as good as new! She is normally stored inside. I bought it to use it, not to have it collect dust in my garage. She is VERY dependable - I would not hesitate to drive her round-trip from Virginia Beach to Wilmington, NC (or further!) All of the "heavy lifting" has been done for you to have a kick-ass FJ40! Why buy a 40 that you have to work on all the time, when you can have one that is ready to roll! I have about $4k of extra parts to go with it, too, including Jump Seats (which have been blasted down to bare metal and repainted, too.) What I have done to it so far, and what comes with it: SBC 350 installed (still has original 4-speed transmission, with Advanced Adapters connecting engine and tranny - 5.7L out of 1976 Corvette, runs fine on Regular gasoline!)Power Steering (AGR Saginaw Power Steering Box, tapped for Rock Ram which is included)28 Gallon Saddle Tank (same that is listed on Man-a-fre)22 Gallon Aux tank in the rear (Gives you 50 gallons onboard, and the ability to drive 700+ miles without filling up - driving around town, I fill up once every 2-3 months!)2 Jump Seats in perfect condition, with new covers, and the original seat foamFiber Glass top has been truck linered inside and out4" lift with 35x12.50xR15 Fun Country II's with full-size spareMan-a-fre Swing out bumper (normally this thing costs $1400!)Brand new Bestop seatsBillet Aluminum Hood hinges from JT OutfittersExtended Fender Flares from Man-a-fre (4" longer than stock and 1" wider)MetalTech Family Roll cage with frame tie-ins (installed and painted to match the body - Also costs more than $1500 new!) White Knuckle Black Powder Coated Sliders (installed)Hi-jackWarn Locking Hubs (Yes, the 4-wheel drive works!) Stuff that is not installed but will come with the sale:Original 2F engine (can be picked up from my friend's shop, and sent with the truck)All steel DOM tubing and (1986 Chevy Blazer with 3.73 gearing) axles to convert to 4-link coil-over suspension. You would need to buy shocks and coils, though. 2nd Battery Box (intended on doing dual-battery setup, but never got to it)Toughie Console with Alpine CD Player and Sirius Satellite Radio Receiver (needs to be re-installed, but all will be provided. Also need a new 4-channel amp. Speakers are installed.) So, it is time to make the grown-up decision and part with my toy. I want to sell it, but by no means do I NEED to sell it - wife and I have decided to have another kid. It has been well taken care of, and I have title in hand for quickest sell. If you have any questions about the restoration, or anything regarding this absolute beast of a restored FJ40 - don't hesitate to ask!
