All gears work perfectly as we just replaced the clutch with a new one last week so that is also new. As to repairs needed. The radio needs the antenna replaced as when it was stripped down someone forgot to re-install the antenna. This is a fully restored vintage Land Cruiser. It is finished in the iconic color of Dune Beige. It has been upgraded to make it safer and nicer to drive. These upgrades include the later, more powerful 2F engine with new Weber Carb, 4 speed trans, power steering and brakes, and new ice cold a/c system. The vehicle has only been driven 180 miles since completion. The photos speak for themselves. The paint and body work was done to a decent driver standard , and is not show quality. I have seen a few of these fully restored FJ40s and they all seem to have been to done to this same standard. One of them was bought for huge dollars at one of the prestigious Pebble Beach Auctions. So I guess this is acceptable to the FJ crowd. The truck otherwise looks near new inside out and top to bottom. I received it on trade against a 1997 Defender 90 as the owner's wife would not drive a stick. I planned on keeping it in my collection, but I am a hard core Land Rover Guy and just never drive it. It has been sitting in my warehouse for two years ,unused except for the occasional start up and quick run around to circulate the fluids. I have a seven car garage and nine collector vehicles, and hate to leave any of them outside. So it is time for two of them to go, and this is one of them.
