From a mechanical standpoint, this Land Cruiser drives BEAUTIFULLY. Both the exterior and interior appear to be in great shape - we spotted no notable blemishes inside or out. We did find that the navigation system and audio entertainment (radio, CD etc) does not work...this vehicle is equipped with a touch-screen MFD (multi-function display) - the climate controls and vehicle information all work properly/display properly on this multi-function display but the audio entertainment and navigation do not turn on for some reason. This could be something as simply as a fuse or relay or it could be something more complicating...simply put, we don't know! We wholesale vehicles and address any significant mechanical-related issues we come across prior to listing our vehicles but when we come across cosmetic and other non-mechanical imperfections like this, we just disclose them in our listings and let the buyer take care of it on their own as our profit margins are way too minimal to look into such items. The Car is 1990. Ebay does not recognize vin. I had to put it as 1980.Hello,Im am a long time car enthusiast and a collector, and have a lot of experience with cars of a different makes and models. And I can easily say that I do not know of a better and simpler build cars as "true" Toyotas of the eighties and nineties, and without any prejudice I can say that even Mercedes does not come close from my experience. As once said by famous person: " There are two most reliable things in this world, first is - AK47 and second - Toyota Land Cruiser." I am proud to show you a beautiful Toyota Land Cruiser 78 in a fantastic condition for its age where EVERYTHING WORKS!This vehicle was marketed as a luxury 4x4 compared to some other Toyota 70 series models. It features solid axel suspension front and back but when other 70 series models ride on a leaf springs, this one has coils in all 4 corners and hence the ride is very comfortable. Front captan sport chairs are spring assisted (like on a big rig) for a softer ride off road and bolsters are adjustable for a snug fit.It is an excellent alternative for those who want a cool 70 series land cruiser with a capability of carrying 7 people comfortably on and off road.This truck has only 72k miles of a verified provable mileage from new and it shows that it was in good hands.It is a rare optioned EX5 Land Cruiser featuring 5 speed manual transmission (most are automatic) and electrically engaging 4x4 at the push of a button, so you don't have to step out in the mud to engage front axel, and just in case you do loose traction, fully functional rear locker is ready to assist.Interior is in very good condition and does not make a single squeak or rattle when going down the road. Drive train has absolutely no play and is as tight as new.There are no leaks or rust whatsoever and 2.4 Turbo motor, surprisingly, propels this 2 ton truck fairly quickly down the road. Transmission shifts superb (better than on many modern cars) and 4 piston disk brakes in the front and rear disks stop the car with an excellent braking force. This vehicle received fresh maintenance including oils / antifreze and timing belt and a new set of BFG tires. Air conditioning is ice cold.Serious buyers only!!!
