This vehicle is all original (except for tires.) This vehicle has never been raced, never exceeded the speed limit, maintained regularly by Toyota authorized service providers, always been garaged and lovingly cared for. ENGINE: Celica's 1.8-litre, 4-cylinder, 16-valve power plant with dual overhead camshafts and sequential multi-port fuel injection. The GT-S was powered by the 2ZZ-GE engine rated at 180 bhp (134 kW; 182 PS) at 7600 rpm and 133 lb·ft (180 N·m) torque at 6800 rpm, the GT-S engine adds an extra. TRANSMISSION: The Celica Tsunami GT-S was offered with just one high-performance transmission - a close-ratio 6-speed manual. ACCELERATION: (zero – 100 km/h): 7.2 seconds BRAKES: (front/rear): disc/disc, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) INTERIOR: Black leather interior, dual front airbags, daytime running lights (DRL) with auto-on parking and headlights, and 4 cup holders; two in the front and two in the rear. Power door lock and power window switches were mounted on the center console to reduce costs. Rear seats were contoured for only 2 passengers and can split down 50/50 to increase cargo capacity. Two-speed front wipers had variable intermittent adjustment. The rear wiper had a single speed and fixed intermittent speed. Windshield and rear window washers were also standard. 6 -disc CD changer, leather seat surfaces, side-impact airbags, floor mats, vehicle intrusion protection (VIP) alarms with door lock/unlock feature and cargo net. Also on the Tsunami, custom leather steering wheel, custom leather shift knob, keyless entry, cruise control, and, of course, a power moon roof. This car runs and drives. The only major thing it needs is an after market engine management system; I was planning a MoTec or AEM. The engine is currently running on the factory JDM computer and it is not able to support the engines fuel needs at higher manifold pressures. The car is registered and has a clean title. It needs some other minor things, but the above mentioned item is the biggest issue left with the car. I have over $20k in this car. I don't really want to sell it, but my work doesn't allow me to continue on with this project. I'm the second owner of the car and purchased it in 1997. I'm a certificated aircraft mechanic and also worked as a lead tech at a well known Portland high performance auto shop. All work on this car has been performed by me, with the exception of the engine block assembly and machining. I have receipts for everything that's gone into the car.
