Selling my 1987 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ60 It's a good 'ole rig, driven daily and taken care of mechanically These are bare bones SUV's, perfect for offroad fun and rugged trails but very capable and reliable for daily use. This vehicle was involved in an incident years back that resulted in the drivers quarter panel damage shown in the photos which resulted in the insurance company declaring it a TOTAL LOSS CLAIM of course based on the age and mileage of the vehicle. Little do insurance companies know that these vehicles will take a bump and keep on going and have a cult like following so their values are high. It's been driven daily since without fail due to the damage incurred [the tailight and tailgate were replaced for functionality purposes of course]. That said, the damage is there and noted in the history but can be repaired or just drive on :) A replacement rear quarter panel would be the best way to go for repair...... available right here on eBay and a fairly easy cut out and weld in job for the novice. The body has been bumped and bruised here and there and even some rust popping through during it's life, as to be expected but the areas were taken care of as best as possible then resprayed accordingly so it's does not have an even color match [i.e; it has scars which equals character :) ] The rusted areas [rear quarter wheel opening areas ~ where they all rust at least a little] that were repaired years ago are showing need for repair again and repainted of course but it all depends how far the next owner wants to take the 'restoration'. The wheels are the original chrome and the tires are still real decent and all 5 [counting the spare] match. The interior is pretty good with the drivers seat showing the most wear/tear. The dash, headlining, door panels, etc... are all what I consider to be in great condition. The drivers side rear inner interior quarter panels were removed to gain access the the damaged area but are included. It does have a nice upgraded CD stereo system installed as well. The engine was replaced about 4-5 years ago with a rebuilt unit from a reputable local shop and starts, runs and operates great. I believe the carburetor was replaced with a rebuilt or new unit as well and numerous routine maintenance items have been replaced or refurbished through the years w/ receipts to pass NC inspection requirements. All mechanicals operate great and it is a very dependable daily driver. The 4X4 works great as well and has been serviced and maintained along with the rest of the mechanicals and used regularly. It is quipped with the hard to find safari roof rack, frame mounted front brush guard w/ winch mount, rear class III hitch and an OME ~ Old Man Emu lift kit w/ receipts...... To wrap up....... this is a hard to find vehicle that has been taken care of mechanically for reliability, offered in a price range not found often. I've owned many FJ40's, FJ55's, etc... and love this FJ60 but life changes, moving, etc... make this sale necessary. I have 2 FJ55's I hope to list soon as well but they have been sitting a while and will require some effort before listing ~ just an FYI for those FJ55 enthusiasts to watch my listings in the future.
